Storage Unit

“Why don’t we go to the storage unit in the morning? That way we can get an early start in trying to figure things out.” Scarlett asked the girls.

“That sounds good.” Both girls replied at the same time

What none of the girls knew was that was being followed. They didn’t know that the guys put a tracking device on the car when they helped them fix the tire. Enzo wanted a way to keep tabs on them. Enzo knew that he still had two other cars to get bugged. He knew it would be a b***h to just get that s**t done. He had to come up with a plan to keep track of these three girls. It’s getting out of hand how people are getting close to them without even them knowing or him knowing who it is. He didn’t like that much. He knew he had to do something and quick.

The girls fixed dinner and watched a little tv, then off to bed they wanted to get up early in the morning to get a good start on the storage unit on the other side of town. Scarlett set her alarm for 6 am to get up and to get ready for the morning. Scarlett had so much on her mind she was having a hard time falling asleep. She finally fell asleep and then it was time to get up and get ready for the morning. She gets up and gets a shower and starts breakfast for everyone. The others got up and came into the kitchen to eat then they would be on their way. Once everything got cleaned up and everyone was ready, they took two cars just in case they needed to bring things back to the apartment. They arrived at the BOBBI’s storage unit and typed in the code to get into the gated area to head to locker unit 116 where she kept her mother’s things. None of them noticed that they were being followed by two different groups. Neither group New about the other.

The girls got out of the cars and unlocked the unit and it almost brought Scarlett to her knees. She wasn’t sure she was strong enough to go through all of this stuff but knowing it needed to get done. They weren’t sure where to start.

“Scarlett where would you like to start?” Leah asked her cousin

“I was thinking we take all pictures and things back to the apartment and anything we can load up in the cars and then we can go through it there is little by little and mark what we have done so we can trade them out for new stuff another day,” Scarlett replied to Leah

“Well, that would be a good plan, and it will also help you decide what you want to keep and not keep,” Brooklyn added

“I hope I am ready for that Brooklyn,” Scarlett looked at her and shook her head as she replied.

The girls loaded boxes into both cars not caring what boxes they grab. Then Scarlett saw her mother’s desk, and she ran her hand over the top of the desk. Then she notices pushed out on the back of the desk. She pulled out the desk and seen papers stuck in there. She pulled on the back of the desk and got the paper out and stuck them into in a pocket before anyone could see what she did. Then moved the desk back into place. She walked out of the storage unit and closed the door and locked it. They all climb into their cars and took off back to the apartment to unload. When they got back to the apartment, the guys were there pretending they got there and wanted to know what they were up to for the day.

“Oh, do you ladies need help to carry those boxes up to your place?” Luka asked Leah with a flirty smile on his face.

“That would be lovely Luka, I would be grateful for your help,” Leah replied to Luka with a flirty smile of her own.

“What about you Sarcastic mouth, needed help?” Rocco leering at Brooklyn has he talked to her.

“Why do you know a man that could help me?” Brooklyn spook up and glared at Rocco

“Why do you have to be so mean Beautiful?” Rocco asked with an egotistical look in his eyes

“Oh, did I hurt the poor baby’s feelings because I didn’t fall for his bullshit? I’m so sorry, NOT,” Brooklyn replied sarcastically

Everyone laughed as Rocco rolled his eyes at Brooklyn. Then Enzo walked right to Scarlett and gives her a small kiss on the check and looks at her in a sexy but questioning way. Scarlett wasn’t sure what she thought he was asking her.

“Is there something you want to ask me or just here to look at me big boy?” Scarlett asked with a smile on her face.

“I have lots to ask, but I came to look at you. Since I’m here, I will help you carry this stuff up,” Enzo replied with a sarcastic smile

They all grab boxes and started up to the apartment and none seen the other guys watching them from the street. They all just kept working and carrying up the boxes to the apartment. Then something caught Enzo’s eye in the distance and he made a noise to the other guys and had them look where he was looking. While finishing up carrying the boxes up to the apartment the guys told the girls they would go get lunch and be right back. Then the guys left and went to check out what they saw.

The girls looked at all the boxes they had in their living room and not sure where to start. So, Scarlett picked up a box and opened it at the dining room table. It was full of pictures of her mother and her along with her friends and others. Then other girls couldn’t get over all the pictures they haven’t seen in years. Scarlett and the girls had fun reliving all the memories of past till they came upon one picture of her mother a week before she died. Scarlett lost it she broke down and cried and couldn’t stop, Brooklyn and Leah ran to her and put their arms around her to comfort her and to help her get through all of this. Scarlett got it under control and put the pictures back into the box, so they can start another one. Once everything got picked up, Leah grabs another box and set it down on the table in front of Scarlett. Just before Scarlet opened the next box there was a knock at the door. Brooklyn got up to answer the door, and she opened it to the guys back with food in their hands were load full. Brooklyn let them in and they took the food into the kitchen. Scarlett got up to get the plates and Leah got everyone something to drink. While Brooklyn just gave Rocco a dirty look.

“What’s with the look your giving me toots?” Rooco was asking with his face looking like he is in pain.

“I thought it was about time you got here with the food. I didn’t really think you were that slow dip s**t,” came out of Brooklyn’s mouth sarcastically as she could make it.

“Can’t you two play nice for a little while? Is it really that hard to get along with each other?” Leah was wondering since those two had nothing nice to say to each other when they were around each other. Scarlett and Enzo just laughed at them all for how silly they all were being. Luka was just staring at Leah with a big smile on his face.

“I was meaning to ask you earlier. Why were you here when we pulled up Enzo?” Scarlett had to know if he had a reason for being here or if it was just a surprise.

“I was coming over to see if you wanted to go out tonight and the guys just wanted to tag along. Then we saw that you needed help, so we thought we could help carry stuff up, which turn in letting us all have lunch together.” Enzo was ready with his response and laid it on smooth as silk. He knew the real reason they were there, but he didn’t have to tell her that. He still wasn’t sure what she was hiding and why the other guy wanted it so bad. He knew he had to find out something soon before the other guy does something stupid.

“Well, thank you so much for helping and for lunch. But I will have to pass in going out tonight. I would like to get through these boxes tonight.” Scarlett replied with a cool smile.

“I would be more than happy to stay and help with that then. Just to spend time with you so I can get to know you better.” Enzo was laying it on thick so he could stay so he could learn more.

“There is no need for you to stay and help, but thank you. Maybe another time.” Scarlett just couldn’t help feeling like he was up to something and that is why he wanted to stay. So she declined the nicest way she knew how. It so couldn’t believe that she turned it down. he knew he had to come up with another reason for her to let him stay but right now his mine was coming up blank.

“It wouldn’t be a bother to stick around and help but I will not pressure you into letting me stay. We will take off and let you guys have your fun with all these boxes,” Enzo walked over to Scarlett and kissed her on the cheek goodbye and looked at the guys and pointed to the door and they all walked out.

Brooklyn and Leo were both looking at Scarlett like she had two heads and couldn’t believe she didn’t let the guy stick around to help. but Scarlett just shook her head and gave them the wait a minute sign then locked the door

“Guys don’t give me that look there’s a reason I didn’t let them stick around. Something felt off when Enzo asked to stick around and help. I kind of felt like he was up to something and not being truthful with me,” Scarlett was informing the girls how she felt with how Enzo was.

“I thought he was just trying too hard Scarlett. I guess you can’t help how you were feeling,” Leah pointed out to her.

“It’s ok Scarlett. He could be up to something, it’s not like we know them all that well,” Brooklyn piped in with her two cents.

“Thanks for understanding,” She told them both.

POV ENZO

I can’t believe she kicked me out. where did I go wrong at? I guess I don’t understand why I didn’t get to stay. I told her everything she should have wanted to hear. Well, almost everything I didn’t tell her the truth completely. I’m a mafia leader I shouldn’t have to tell the truth. That girl has a lot to learn, and it looks like she will learn the hard way. She will tell me what I need to know one way or the other and it’s better for me than the other guy. Guys get in the car we’ve got research to do before we make another visit to Scarlett and her friends. Give them time to go through the boxes and then we will strike.
