Studying and Surpirse

They all woke up around noon after the night they had. None of them could believe they drank so much or danced as they did. Usually being that all of them are more cautious about doing things that out of control, but occasionally shouldn’t hurt.

“Hey, girls are you hungry so we all can study soon? I would make us snacks for our study session.” Leah said

“GO, for its girl. You make the best snack, can’t wait to you get your own shop and I can eat for free.” Brooklyn said while laughing.

“You know you're not the only one going to be eating free when she gets her shop opened. How else will I live while getting my practice going?” Scarlett chimed in

“You both plan on eating my profits while you both get your stuff done. I’m shocked at all that.” Leah replied to them.

They both said in unison “No, you do not so give it up.” And then they all laughed.

Once all we did the snacks they all grab their books and sat in the living room together, with all the snacks on the coffee table between them all. They all stayed like that a good four hours before any of them took a break to move around. While they have been walking around and stretching their muscles, they heard a knock on the door. They all looked at each other wondering who it could be at the door. With, them never having visitors except for Leah’s mother they girls keep their circle tiny. So, who would knock, none of them knew. All three went to the door to see who it could be. When they opened the door, there was a delivery man standing there with flowers, candy, wine. They made sure the man had the right place then they took the things into the kitchen. No, one could figure out who would send them all of this.

“Hey, I found a card here in the flowers,” Scarlett said to the other girls. “What does it say?” Leah asked with wonder in her voice. “It says this is for all three to enjoy, hope you like it.” Scarlett looked the card over trying to find more but came up empty. “That’s it, nothing else?” Brooklyn asked with skepticism. “That’s it. I can’t find anything else with the flowers.” Scarlett responded.

None of them found anything else with either of the other two gifts. It had them all puzzled who would send them gifts and what was the reason behind it. Even though they had the mystery of the gifts on their mind they went back to studying for their big test for graduation. Dinner time rolled around and that’s when they stopped for the day. They knew they had one day left to study and then the big test. There was a knock at the door again and they looked puzzled again. This time only Scarlett went to the door and let out a gasp. Brooklyn and Leah came up behind her to see what the big deal was. There they saw a gourmet meal being delivered to them. This time Brooklyn picked up the note and read it aloud.

“To three lovely ladies, sorry we can’t be there to join you hope you enjoyed the gifts. So, enjoy dinner and soon we will meet again.” Brooklyn sounded breathless after she finished reading it.

“Who could we have to meet before that would send us all this?” Leah spoke up

“Not just that who do we know that could afford it?” Scarlett added to the conversation

“I say we stop worrying about it and just enjoy it,” Brooklyn said with a big smile on her face. The rest shook their heads and went to get plates and silverware for the food. Digging into the food and having it melt in your mouth was heaven. There was nothing left when the three of them got done. There was so stuffed they didn’t want to move.

“God that was so good,” Scarlett commented

“I have to agree with you their Cousin.” Leah piped in

“I don’t want to move for a week after all of that food,” Brooklyn announced

Then they all laughed and turned on the tv to see if there was anything on to watch. Supernatural was on so they watched it and lost track of time. When they realized what time, it was they all got up to go shower and then head to bed.

The next morning there was a loud banging on the door. It woke all the girls up and had them rushing to the door to stop that banging. When they got to the door, there was another delivery. But this time there was no one there just a package a very large package. It took all three of the girls to get the package inside their apartment. The package was almost as big as Leah and that is saying something since she is only 5’2 in height. She is the shortest of us all.

“What do you think is in there?” Leah asked with curiosity

“Not sure what is in there, but there is only one way to find out,” Scarlett said

Then Brooklyn got a knife out of the kitchen and cut the tape off the top of the box.

There are three medium size figures all different and shape and they each have a name on them. “What are them and what are we supposed to do with them?” Asked Leah

“I’m not sure what they are, but they have our names on them to which one goes to who.” Scarlett noticed

“Do you think they are to risible the people who sent them to us?” Brooklyn wondered out loud

“If that’s the case then how come we can’t make out the faces on the statues?” Scarlett inquired

“It could be, that they don’t want us to know who they are just yet,” Leah said in a hasty manner.

“You were always the romantic one out of us,” Scarlett said to her as she bumped her.

Then they all laughed and stared at the statues and what they were to mean. They each took their statue to their room. It all seemed strange and Romanic oddly. They couldn’t figure out who is sending all this stuff and how did people know where they lived. Few people knew the girls and few knew where they lived. They girls liked it that way, so it bothered them that someone knew where they lived that they didn’t tell. They all came back into the living room to get breakfast and maybe go into town later for the mall.

Once breakfast is done, and they all showered they headed out to the mall. They got into Brooklyn car and was almost to the mall when Brooklyn spoke up. “I don’t mean to alarm you man, but I think we are being followed.” Scarlett looked behind them and saw a car that moves with them through traffic. “I think you're right Brooklyn,” Scarlett said as she continues to watch the car. “Don’t look yet Leah, I want them to think I’m talking with you so I can keep an eye on them. They may just be heading this way and it looks like they are following.” Scarlett was saying to Leah. “If they are following us, why would they do that?” Leah asked with a shrug of her shoulders. “Don’t know, I can’t think of any reason they would follow us. Can you Brooklyn?” Scarlett asked her. “No, it’s not like we can give them money or anything. They tie both of our trust funds up till after graduation and then it’s only a part.” Brooklyn commented. They made it to the mall and the car just went past them so the girls felt a little easier now. They walked inside the mall to start their shopping, they relaxed but not completely. Scarlett still was feeling off but couldn’t put in the figure on just why. She tried to push it away but just couldn’t shake it. Brooklyn and Leah could feel that Scarlett wasn’t herself, so they all just went home. Once they were home, they knew they had to study again because it wouldn’t be much longer to their final exam.

“Hey, I realized that I don’t have a book I need. I will run to the library to get it, so I can study.” Scarlett yelled as she was walking out to her jeep.

She gets to campus and walks towards the library and out of nowhere her professor and stopped her. “Hey, Mr. Hunter, how can I help you?” Scarlett said shocked to see him right now.

“Hello, Scarlett. I need to talk to you. It’s very important and the sooner the better. When are you available to come to my office to have a meeting with me?” Mr. Hunter asked her while he keeps looking around.

“Well, I guess I could come to be in an hour. Unless this can wait till tomorrow?” Scarlett replied. Thinking her professor seemed off somehow.

“No, an hour will be fine, this can’t wait. I will see you in an hour at my office.” Mr. Hunter said as he hurried away.

Scarlett seemed to think that was weird for her professor and was wondering what that was all about. She couldn’t figure out what he would have to tell her since the school was almost over. She continued to the library, so she could get her book, but couldn’t shake off just how weird the professor was being. She guesses she would have to just wait to see what he wanted in an hour at his office. When she got to the library, she found that it was almost empty. She was hoping she could get her book and get to the professor quickly and then get home. She found her book and went to check it out and then she would go to the professor’s office to see what he wanted.

When she left the library, she started towards the office buildings that housed all the professor’s offices. She knew that Mr. Hunter’s office was on the second floor and there was no elevator to take her there, so she would have to walk to the second floor. When she got to the building, she saw guys walk out of the building and not look twice at her. She continued into the building up to the second floor to Mr. Hunter’s office. When she gets to his office, she sees the door is open, and the office is a mess, but there is no professor. She goes inside and then she sees a little blood on the floor and a letter with her name on it under some papers. She grabbed the letter and then she called campus security to the professor’s office. When they arrived, she told them what she has seen when she got here and that the professor asked her to come here for a meeting, but when she arrived, it was just like this. They took her statement and sent her on her way so they could get things closed off for anyone else came here. Then Scarlett went straight home to talk with her friends.
