"Ayanna, over here!"  Luca's voice rang throughout the class which caught everyone's attention. He was waving at me dramatically causing a smile to form on my face.  I made my way through the seats until I reached his desk. "Sit by me" he said while patting the spare seat I dropped my bag to the floor and sat next to him. I noticed a lot of the classmates giving me weird looks. It must've been because I was new. "You're in my seat"  Tobias stood in front of us both now, I didn't even see him enter the class. "Sorry didn't see you're name"  I swiveled in the chair so I could look at the vandalism in scripted on the backrest.  "Oh, is that it?" I asked while pointing to the black ink that spelt 'dickhead' Luca burst out laughing beside me whereas Tobias tried his best to hide his amusement but failed miserably.  "I'll let you have this one but I'll get you back"  He moved to the desk behind us and slumped into the seat. He remained quiet the rest of the lesson but I felt his eyes on me the entire time. He was most likely plotting his revenge.  Every two minutes or so he would also kick the back of my seat which would cause me to jerk forward and my pen would drag across the page making a mess of my writing.   I would curse his long legs and then send a middle finger over my shoulder.  "There's a party this Friday" Tobias began as we walked out the class "Oh yeah, Aliyah's" Luca added on  "You should come" Tobias stated  "Oh I don't know" I shrugged  I wasn't totally sure what Ambrose would say or think if I told him I was going to a party. Besides, I wasn't exactly close with this group either.  "Oh you're coming" Alix's voice appeared beside me  Both Alix and Amira had joined the three of us, talk about perfect timing. "yeah, it'll be so much fun" Amira added on  "See" Tobias said while nudging my shoulder  I rolled my eyes at his action before considering the party. Surely there was no harm in going to a party with a couple of friends. It wasn't as if I never went to a party back at my old high school.  "I'll think about it" I answered  The rest of the day went by like a breeze, although every teacher seemed to think it was a good idea to give out homework that would keep me busy all night.  "Food will be done in an hour" Ambrose told me as we walked into the house  "cool"  I wasn't surprised to see Wyatt laying across the couch asleep. I swear these guys didn't have their own houses.  "How long has he been asleep?" Ambrose asked Zander whose eyes were glued to the tv.  "Pretty much since you left" he answered  "Is it a natural sleep?" Ambrose questioned  I looked between the two boys very confused. What did he mean natural? How else did someone sleep? "No, Azande knocked him out"  My eyes almost popped out of my head at hearing those words. I thought all of these were guys friends but it really comes across like Azande hates Wyatt.  "Relax" Ambrose laughed looking at my face "Azande just uses his pressure points to knock him out. Wyatt tends to talk non stop" he finished   Ambrose joined Zander on the couch and began watching tv. Didn't they have anything better to do? Feeling thirsty I walked into the kitchen to grab a drink. Azande stood at the opposite end of the kitchen leaning into the cupboard while scrolling through his phone.  He was tall and broad, It was clear to see that he worked out a lot just by one look at his athletic build. His dark hair was messy and slightly curly almost reaching his blue eyes. His jaw was tight and eyebrows arched as he stared down at the phone.  He could be a model. "What are you looking at?"  His tone was sharp and straight to the point. "Nothing, what are you looking at?"  "Nothing" he said repeating my words Deciding not to respond I reached the fridge and pulled out a drink. "Did you apologise to Wyatt for punching him?" I asked  He almost laughed but then contained himself whilst keeping his face blank. "No"  "Then I think you should do it right now, oh wait, you can't because you knocked him out"  "If you don't stop talking then I'll do the same to you"  I paused for a moment trying to read him.  "You wouldn't dare"  He quickly stepped forward and within a second I found myself running towards my brother and Zander. "Ambrose!" I called  I came to a dramatic stop in the living room which caused Ambrose to jump up quickly and take a defence stance.  "What's wrong?" he rushed out  Then Azande entered the room and strolled past me before taking a seat on the last remaining seat. "She thought she seen a mouse" Azande answered him "Don't worry me like that" Ambrose said while sitting back down.  I looked towards Azande only to lock eyes with him. For the first time, his face wasn't a blank canvas but now held humour in the form of a smirk. He was silently challenging me.  May the best man win.
