La Rayne.

I wake up again and there is that scent again the ocean breeze it's intoxicating I roll on the soft bed never wanting the feeling of peace to leave me. Piper chimes in

mate! mate is coming!

My nerves are everywhere will he accept me? will he be everything I hoped for? I've always longed for my mate and Piper deserves to have her mate. She is my best friend and you know how that goes... you always want the best for them.

suddenly the door opens and a young man enters the room fear gets the best of me and I recoil into the wall. He looks at me with curiosity and what looks to be hurt. He speaks

Bronx I try it. his name rolls out of my mouth like I've said it ten million times before I like it. He has Black hair chiseled jaw lines high cheek bones and his eyes omg his eyes they are my favorite colors blue and green he has a olive skin tone giving the look of a permanent tan. He is athletic looking his body toned and looks to be cut from stone. pipers purrs in appreciation for her mate.

I realize by now I must be staring at this point and quickly try to recover by telling him my name I say my name is La Rayne but you can call me Rayne.

Bronx POV

I walk down the hallway to my room to see that My mystery mate is indeed awake to think had I gone to town with my parents, something terrible could have happened to her frightens me. as I enter the doorway I see her jump back hitting the headboard of my bed I'm saddened by her reaction but stand quietly and say hi my name is Bronx and wait. She says my name and maximus and I do an internal happy dance as her voice is music to our ears. maximus tells me the obvious she's checking us out her eyes roaming every part of my body. I can't help the goofy smile plastered on my face. she seems to take notice and trys to hid the red tint in her cheeks. mate is so cute. I want to kiss her Maximus says. She speaks my name is La Rayne. but you can call me Rayne.

Maximus pushes me to the back of my mind and takes control over my body I haven't quite learned to control him.

hello little mate I have been waiting for you.

Rayne looks shocked by his sudden appearance and asks his Name. He sticks out our chest and says I am Maximus. I am Bronx's other half. He leans close and she doesn't move which surprised us both we both internally thank the goddess that she is not afraid. he places our head in the crook of her neck and inhales deeply blackberries and sugar she is perfect. we notice that she to is effected by the action as the hair on her body rises and goosebumps form on her pale skin.

She moves slightly and suddenly her eyes are no longer green they are golden her wolf must be present.

Maximus I am Piper he makes a strange purring sound at the mention of her name She wraps her small arms around my waist and pulls us closer.

Sparks erupted from everywhere our skin touched making me want to never leave her embrace. When suddenly my parents come through the door with worried looks on their faces and quickly I think to introduce them as my mate clings to my waist as if she were frightened by there appearance she doesn't show it on the outside but I can feel something is off. Maximus starts to speak in my head mate is brave but she is scared do something.

I look to see that Rayne is present piper has receded to the back of her mind. I quickly give her a reassuring squeeze on her hand and say Rayne I would like to introduce my parents Remus and Claire. She nods and seems to relax.

my father is the first to speak.
