Finding her! Greys POV

This mountain is hardcore I can't believe Sophia is up there. It's taken me a day to drive here, god knows how long it took her walking, in her defence though, she walked everywhere, something I'm putting right as soon as she's my mate. Wait. What if she rejects me, my wolf growls in my head not keen on that idea.

I can't drive any further I had to climb this to get to her. She's worth it though. I'm not looking forward to Kelsey's reaction, Kelsey is the girl who claimed I was her other mate, her claim was indeed true as my wolf did say mate to her too just not as loud and bold as Sophia. I'd of chosen Sophia every time not that she knows that of course.

Telling Kelsey is on my to do list as soon as I have my mate not reject me and in my arms. It was a tough one, but me and my wolf chose Sophia. She's the future luna.

I'm half way there, I'm a little quicker than usual there's a lot at stake, my girl is up there probably freezing. She needs to come home, with me. I'm going to do my best to make that happen.

Almost at the top, I haven't thought about what I'm going to say or anything yet. I best come up with something and fast, the top is approaching.

The note she left me broke my heart. All her life she's thought she's not worthy of anyone, her own parents didn't want her so I understand why she would think her mate would reject her, my heart breaks for her, but I can make it up to her. With my pack.

Finally, I reach the top, I find a nice little set up, so I know it must be her, but where is she? I decided to wait for her to come back, she couldn't be long.

I text a few people while waiting to let them know I might of possibly found her. I know I've been a giant pain in the ass when I knew she had gone. I keep wondering where she's gone, maybe to wash? I decided to hang around a little, I'm most certainly not leaving without her.

I hear footsteps coming this way, I'm sure it is Sophia so I hide around the other side so I don't spook her. I hear her mumbling to herself.

It's now or never...

"Sophia".

I heard her stop what she was doing and creep out of the cave. I've found her at last.

Her face looks like she's seen a ghost. I can see her falling, as quick as I can, I stop her from hitting the rocks. I catch her. She fainted.

I stayed with her, holding her until she came around. I knew, my wolf knew she's my mate. I didn't mean to startle her. I just want her home with me safe. On my way up this mountain I made a promise to myself and to her that no one on this planet will ever hurt her again.

Sophia awakens. I hand her a bottle of water. She takes a sip.

"Hi Sophia, I've been looking everywhere for you"

Her voice ever so faint asks why?

"Well, you are my mate. I would of always of chosen you, I'm here to take you home".

The word home hits her and she looks like she's seen a ghost.

"No sweetie, not that bunch of losers, my home. With me"

She looks at me like I've grown two heads.

Hmm...

"Grey, I want to stay here, I wanted you to choose the other girl, I'm no good".

This is going to be harder to convince her than I thought.

"Sophia, I've chosen you, now you can reject me if you wish, so you can stay here, but that's not going to be wise for either of us. Please let me take you home". She looks at me with her big blue eyes.

"What If they don't like me? I can't go through beatings again . What if they find me?"

She's nervous about her d**k of a brother. He's not going anywhere near her.

"Sophia, I promise, I'm not taking you back to them, I will not hand you over to them, and I sure as hell won't let anyone hurt you".

She starts to pack up the little belongings she has, I think this is a good thing.

While she packs up, I text Kelsey that we need to talk when I get back. She messages me asking where I am, I just reply with my mate.
