"Are you feeling better?" Aurora fondles Elijah's pale cheek. He still looks weak, but at least he's conscious now.
"W-What happened?" The vampire groans. His bed creaks when he pushes himself to sit. He feels cold.
Aurora sits beside him. The smile on her face is apparent, but don't be fooled. It's not a happy kind of smile. It's a sad one.
"You passed out after getting stabbed by a scoria." She frowns. "Who stabbed you, by the way?"
Elijah heaves a deep sigh. It's none other than his imbecile friend: Sage! That motherfucker! He probably stabbed him to know who's coming to rescue him. Elijah didn't tell Sage who gave him the sword, so the ruthless vampire did this to see Aurora's face.
"How long has it been since I passed out?" The untouchable changes the topic.
