Innocent Ivanka

Chapter 12 Ivanka’s POV I decided to speed up my plan. And that b***h, Nathalie… I would make sure I dealt with her. Growing up, I had always been jealous of her. She had everything I never had—a perfect family, siblings who adored her, and parents who seemed to love her unconditionally. But what about me? I had nothing. My mother despised me and my sister. The moment she gave birth to us, she ran away with her lover and left us behind. I had grown up watching Nathalie live the life I had always wanted. And now she had Zachary too. No. I wasn’t going to let her have everything. I was currently on my way to the spa with my friends, Claire, Rina, and Kacy. “So, how are things between you and Zachary?” Rina asked. “I heard your cousin has trapped him with a pregnancy.” “Stop that,” I said innocently. “My cousin isn’t like that.” “You’re too kind, Vanny,” Claire said. I smiled sweetly. If only they knew the devil hiding behind that innocent face. My phone buzzed. I glanced at the message I had received and smiled. Everything was falling into place. “Actually,” I said, looking at the girls, “I have somewhere we need to go first.” “Where?” Kacy asked. “Nathalie’s mall.” They exchanged confused looks. “Why?” Claire asked. I smiled. “Let’s just say I want to have a little conversation with my cousin.” But they had no idea what I really had planned. ⸻ Nathalie’s POV The next morning, I woke up feeling surprisingly excited. Today was my first day at the mall. I had already spoken to Mom, and she had arranged everything. I wasn’t expected to do anything too strenuous. Since I was pregnant, my main responsibility was simply to check on things, make sure everything was running smoothly, and leave whenever I felt tired. I got dressed and headed downstairs. “Aunt Mina, I’m going to the mall today.” She looked at me suspiciously. “You’re sure you aren’t going to overwork yourself?” I laughed. “Mom already warned me. I’m practically going there to sit, shop, eat and come home.” Aunt Mina smiled. “Then make sure you actually listen to her.” “I will.” I grabbed my bag and headed out. I had no idea that someone was already planning to ruin my first day. ⸻ Ivanka’s POV We arrived at Nathalie’s mall shortly after. The moment we stepped inside, I smiled. Everything looked expensive. Of course. Nathalie had always been lucky. “Remember what we discussed,” I whispered to the girls. Claire nodded. We turned on our phones and started recording. I wasn’t going to attack Nathalie physically. No. I wanted the public to do the damage for me. We found her in the office area speaking to one of the managers. I walked toward her. “Nathalie.” She looked up. Her expression immediately changed when she saw me. “Ivanka?” “What are you doing here?” she asked. I smiled. “I came to see my cousin. Is that a crime?” “I don’t have time for this.” She turned to walk away. I followed her. “Why are you acting like you own the place?” She stopped. “I don’t want any problems with you, Ivanka.” “Oh, please.” I raised my voice deliberately. “You’ve always thought you’re better than everyone else!” Nathalie looked around as people began turning toward us. “Ivanka, lower your voice.” “Why? Afraid people will finally see who you really are?” She sighed. “I said I don’t want any problems.” I stepped closer. “So you can humiliate me in private and then pretend you’re innocent?” “What are you talking about?” I scoffed. “Everyone knows you don’t want me anywhere near Zachary.” “That has nothing to do with this.” “Oh, really?” I raised my voice again. “You have everything! The family, the money, the husband—and now you’re trying to take everything from me too!” Nathalie stared at me in disbelief. “I haven’t taken anything from you.” But I had already gotten what I wanted. The cameras were recording. I stepped closer to her, pretending to be hurt. “Please, Nathalie. Just leave me alone.” Her eyes widened. “I haven’t even done anything to you!” Perfect. The girls continued recording. I quickly turned away, pretending to wipe tears from my eyes. “Let’s go,” I whispered. We walked out of the mall. The moment we got into the car, I smiled. “Did you get everything?” Claire nodded. “Everything.” “Good.” We edited the videos, cutting out every moment where I had provoked her. Only Nathalie’s angry responses remained. Then we posted them. Within minutes, the videos began spreading across social media. “Zachary Vaughn’s pregnant wife bullies Ivanka!” “Is Nathalie jealous of Ivanka?” “Pregnant socialite causes a scene at her own mall!” The comments started pouring in. People who knew nothing about what had actually happened began insulting Nathalie. Exactly what I wanted.
