Seven months earlier Haley"Excuse me," Haley smiled at a heavyset man as she followed Austin through the crowded lobby of Steaks on Third toward the hostess stand. Tomorrow was Thanksgiving, so the restaurant only took reservations for large parties. Yep, they’d have to wait a bit, but it was Thanksgiving Eve, and she’d expected as much.
"Table for two," Austin responded to the hostess’ question of how many guests. With a forty-minute wait for a table to become available, Austin left his name saying they’d be at the bar.
