CHAPTER EIGHT : LADY CLAUDETTE

" Stop it babe, let him be let's have dinner " he didn't want any argument between the boys

"No, this man has something to say to me" he moved closer to Aine

" I'm listening " the heat in the kitchen at this point could not be measured.

Both Aine and Fitz stood staring at each other with eyes that could kill,

"you're acting like a child" Aine had enough of Fitz attitude

" Why did you agree to this marriage when you didn't have the balls to stomach it?, you clearly look like a coward "

" a coward?, really me?, says the guy who also have a say in this marriage, you could have just disagreed with your father and run off with your girlfriend, what was her name " Fitz tried thinking

" ahh, I remember Meridith " he said Cessy was trying to stop the argument but it was going all wrong.

" Don't you dare go there " Aine was getting really pissed with Fitz , Meridith was a subject that he wasn't ready to discuss, he had to let her go for the sake of his clan

" Hmm, does it hurt?, who should we now call a coward? Father's little puppet " Fitz smirk he knew his words, the words pierced Aine he threw a punch at Fitz but in that instance Cessy tried standing in front of Fitz to stop the fight and was unlucky to receive the punch meant for Fitz, Cessy fell to the ground, Aine rushed to pick Cessy when Fitz pushed him aside

" Don't you dare touch him, Cessy are you alright? " Fitz asked as he picked him up, Aine too was concerned he didn't expect things to turn out this way.

" This is the only way you and your clan are aware of to revolve issue is with conflict, violence, am not surprised, don't you even touch him again, the next time this happens I may just forget i am a king " he grabbed Aine by the shirt

" Would you both just stop it already, Fitz, Aine didn't mean it, you're also the reason why he got angry in the first place " Cessy touched his injury face

" Your trying to defend him even after what he did? "

" Your highness would you please calm down, Prince Cessiar is injured and you're more concerned about why Aine did it." spoke Nanny P, she was busy watching the show all three acted out in the kitchen.

With one more death stared at Aine, Fitz took Cessy up to his room to get his wound attended to, Aine went back to his room.

Fitz opened the first aid box and took a look at Cessy's face before applying the ointment

" Does it hurt " he asked looking worried that Cessy was in pain, he shook his head in response.

" This is all your fault now look at what Happened " he picked up a cotton stick and started to Clean the wound gently

" Are you still mad at me? " Cessy held Fitz hands stop him from treating his wound

" I was never mad at you, I just hated the fact that you always put others first before us " Fitz removed his hands and continued Cleaning his wound

" I'm sorry, I can't be as brave as you, I couldn't fight for us, I just couldn't look the other way, I'm too soft hearted " Cessy said putting on a sad face, Fitz lift his face so they were staring at each and he gave him a quick kiss on the lips

" Your good heart is what I love about you " Fitz smiled, for the passed two days this was the first time Fitz smiled at Cessy.

" I'm sorry about what I did this afternoon, I just wanted you to know how I was feeling, forgive me?" he put on his best face

" How can I not forgive such a cute face " he pulled Fitz cheeks and kissed him on the lips.

The next morning at 5am Aine's curtains were drawn up

" Father 5more minutes" he turned to the other side of the bed covering his face,

" Good morning Your highness" spoke unfamiliar voice, Aine's consciousness jumped in an reason remember he was in the palace, but he didn't know why he had to wake up this early

" it's time to get ready for the day " the maid spoke as she bowed

" start my day at 5 am in the morning, no thanks , I would love go back to sleep '' he laid down back on the bed pulling the sheets over his head , the maid left the room

" How ridiculous could they be 5am, I'm I to perform a ritual to wake the entire kingdom " he went back to sleep, in a few minutes Aine felt wet all over his face,

" Who did that " he asked as he jumped up from his bed to face a scary look woman in her 40s , she looked really strict , she was dressed Ina suit with a pair of glass on her face.

" Are you now ready to get ready to start your day?" she adjusted her glasses as she waited for him to answer

" Who told you to wake me up that wait and who are you , don't you sleep?"

" I'm Claudette , I'm here to coach you on your new journey as the queen of Ultser , from today you are to wake up 5 am very morning or else there will be consequences" Aine didn't understand what to do, 5 am even chickens don't wake up at that time

" Good morning lady, with all due respect you can't walk in here and tell me what to do " he pointed at her

" Good heavens, his worst than I thought clearly , grooming you needs more time , one week won't be able to trim and straight your rough edges" she said putting her hand into her bag and pull out what look like a rule, Aine watched her cautiously, she used the rule to hit his finger he pointed at her

" ouch , what was that for ? " he rubbed where she hit

'' it's rude to point haven't you learnt anything in school ? " school was the last place Aine would be ever seen

'' Now you have 30 mins to get ready " she pointed the clothes on the dresser table

" and meet me downstairs at the dining room, if you're a minute late" Aine was expecting her to finish her sentence but she left like that,

" Did she just make an open treat , does she think I'm scared of her and her tiny rule " he laid down back to sleep but her voice rang in his ears

" 30 mins , a minute and " he rushed into the bathroom to have his bath.

Mrs Claudette walked down to wait for her student, on the dinning table sat Prince Cessiar

" Good Morning your highness , as early as always " lady Claudette bowed to him

" Lady Claudette, a good morning to you too " Cessy smiled on seeing his groomer, lady Claudette had also trained Prince Cessy four years ago before the passing away of the king and queen but he didn't get married to Fitz.

" I can see you are doing so well that I don't need to ask " she said with a smile in all her years of coaching a queen Cessy was the only one who learnt at the speed of lightening , took him three days to perfect his training.

" I would say like to you , I guess you're waiting for you new student , Aine '' he said pointing his hands to the sit in front of his indicating she should sit

" Yes I am , on that note he has just 18 minutes left " she said as she checked her watch for the time

" Lady Claudette , would you go easy on him he has no idea of what a palace life should be "

" That's the more reason she needs to be more strict on him " Fitz interrupted

" Your majesty " she bowed

" lady Claudette you need to be strict on him, I'm afraid he will never learn " Fitz said a depressed manner like a mother trying to correct her child , Cessy was wondering what Fitz was up to,

" not to worry I'm here now , I'll straighten up all his edges , Don't you worry your pretty head about anything " , she checked her watch again , Aine currently had 4 mins more

" What do you think you're doing " Cessy whispered as Fitz sat beside him

" Getting ready to watch the show " he sat with a mischievous smile , Aine's time was almost up but he wasn't down already,

" this would be fun to watch, 6 , 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and he's in trouble " Fitz counted he wanted to get snow for what he did to Cessy yesterday in the kitchen.

After waiting an extra 25 minutes the king of the palace scrolled down , Lady Claudette stood up and walked over to Aine and stared at him from head to toe ,

she took a deep breath

" The first thing a queen does is obey , you have disobey me twice just in a hour , what on Earth do you think you're wearing ? " Aine didn't put on anything she brought.

" I believe they are called clothes , I didn't like tho..... " he was interrupted by Claudette hitting him three times with the rule again

" You're to stand on the spot to mention the name of all the passed Kings on according order , that is your punishment

" No she's going easy on him who doesn't who the names of king " Fitz said waiting to hear Aine speak

" Kings ? you mean our Kings, like passed Kings of Ultser "

" I mean King present in Games of thrones , young man do not waste my time " she walk back to where she sat

" The things is , I don't , ehhm I don't know them " the words finally came out of his mouth

" you mean you never went to school ? " lady Claudette asked with her eyes opened , Aine nodded in response. Fitz stood and walked towards Aine

" in the era you're an uneducated fool , your problem are too many to count , now I understand why you behave the way you do " he gave Aine a disgusting look before walking away, he had never been bothered about not going to school but Fitz words hurt him more than he thought they would , Cessy just sat down staring at Aine he could feel his embarrassment

" how about I teach him that later in the day , I'm sure it would lessen your work load lady Claudette ''

" No Prince Cessiar , I can handle him myself " Cessy smiled he tapped Aine's shoulders before walked away .

" You shouldn't have said that to Aine " Cessy closed the door after walking in ,

" Can you tell me exactly what you want from me , I don't talk to him you're not happy , I talk to him you're not satisfied with what I said , tell what you want " he pulled Cessy into his laps

" Can you try to be nice to him ? "

" Let me think about it , hmmmm , No " Fitz kissed Cessy

" So what do you want to do today , I don't have any meetings "

" Let's go to the park with Keera "

" I meant just us you and me " Cessy giggled he knew exactly what Fitz wanted but just wanted to play dumb.

" Our lessons today starts with good sitting posture , back straight , head forward , feet touching the ground at all times , do you understand " lady Claudette sat on the chair showing Aine the right posture ,

" Now sit "

" I don't really see the need of this Les.... "

" I said sit !! " Aine sat on the chair trying to recreate what he heard and saw

" back straight " she hit him again with the rule

" Head forward at all times , now you're going to practice this for 30 mins "

" 30 mins ? , this posture hurts badly and you want me to sit here for 30 mins ? "

" You're still not sitting right that's why it hurts , 30 mins your time starts now " she turned on the timer , Aine was already feed up , he had to wake up at 5 am , he had to conduct a morning ritual of peace for the kingdom and. now this without breakfast.

" back straight young man !! " Aine let out a deep sign.

After what seems to be an hour long , he was finally release by Lady Claudette .

"Next we are going to learn table manners and how to use each and very cultery on the table " Aine looked on the table and saw 17 items ,

" Hold on , I'm suppose to learn how to use everything on the table ? "

" yes, you're first let's start with the glasses , this is a water glass, only water nothing more nothing else, this is a white wine glass just for white wine and that's a red wine glass, your turn" Aine followed her lead

" Good now, this is a dinner fork, this is a salad fork, this is a soup spoon and that's a teaspoon, don't you understand? " Aine nodded

" This is a dessert spoon and a dessert fork, this is a bread knife and plate , do you understand ?"

" I don't think so , my brain can't take in all this, can we continue tomorrow "

" Alright but by the time we start tomorrow you should be able to name them and use them as well, do you understand what I'm saying ?" Aine nodded and with that Lady Claudette left.

" Finally " Aine ran up to his room the first thing was to pull the clothes he had on lady Claudette forced him to wear them, he couldn't believe this is his life from now,

" Where have you been all day I thought you were my escort ?" Aine yelled at Chad

" Do get me started I never knew escorts had to take lessons too, I would have never followed you here " Chad fell on the bed him too was also been prepared as a royal assistance to Aine,

" Well your day isn't as bad as mine, I had to wake up at 5 am and I had to sit in one position for hours my back and feet hurts so badly, that Lady Claudette is really a pain in the butt, sometimes I just felt like grabbing her stick and hitting her back " both boys signed.
