Shopping Spree

Later on in the week, Mindy picked me up to go on our planned shopping spree. I was so excited for some serious retail therapy. I surprisingly had a fortune saved up and I was in desperate need for new clothes. We went to The Grove, of course. Mindy took me to her favorite stores which included Forever 21, Pacsun, Hollister, Top Shop, Zumiez, and H&M.

We were at Zumiez when I noticed a familiar tall, dreamy boy.

"Rosi! Hey!" It was Drew.

"Oh my gosh, Hi!" I told him giving him a friendly hug.

"How are you? We haven't talked in a little while!" He told me stepping back.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I've just been trying to find a summer job." Which was a total lie I have been, and will continue, to do nothing.

"Well I have missed you! You, me, dinner? Tomorrow night?" He told me with a beautiful smile.

"That would be amazing, yes!" I told him, keeping a calm facade, even though I wanted to freak out.

"Well I will see you then, pick you up tomorrow at 7? Wear something pretty." He told me with a wink and going back to his friends outside the door.

I waited till he was completely out of sight to turn to Mindy.

"Mindy did that just happen! You have to help me, I now need a dress and shoes and makeup!"

"We'll find some stuff!" She assured me. We paid quickly and I was taken to TopShop to find a fitting outfit. The store was beautiful and had the perfect selection of dresses for me. I have never been in here before, but for a first time, I was impressed.

I found a gorgeous dark green velvet mini dress with thin straps. The material was soft and I found it to be more comfortable than anything I've ever worn. That dress was worth every cent. After getting a dress I was dragged to a shoe store, Sephora, and Victoria Secret which was a whole new experience for me.

And after our full day of shopping, Mindy took me home. Laying everything out, I found my room to be filled with new clothes. I was going to need hangers but lets be real, a pile would suffice for now.

I noticed I had a text from Kian telling me to call him. So I did.

Kian: Hey Rosi!

Me: Hi Kian, what did you need to talk to me about?

Kian: Listen I'm sorry for being a total jerk the other night, but on another better note, Mindy told me you are going on a date with Drew!

Me: Oh god, don't worry about it! And yes tomorrow night! Im wearing a dress and everything, you can imagine how nervous I am.

Kian: I bet you will look amazing, I know this is a bad idea but before you go can I see you? Since you'll be wearing a dress?

Me: I don't...Actually, you know what? Yes I would love to have you come over before, I might need a guys perspective on how I look. And maybe some comfort.

Kian: First, how you look should be the least of your worries, you will look amazing regardless. But I will definitely be there to hype you up, its my job.

Me: Thank you. I should probably get going, I have a lot of clothes to put away.

Kian: Okay! I will be over at 5:30 does that work?

Me: Perfect! See you then.

Kian: Bye Rosi.
