Chapter 14

Belli's P.o.v

I was taking a nap when I was awoken by Kai, "babe wake up, your father and mother are downstairs. We should go to greet them, okay?" After he finished his sentence a vicious growl echoed through the house, I somewhat recognized it, but Kai immediately jumped and looked at me. "Baby that’s Axius, someone is in danger. Hurry we must see what is going on!" I jumped up and pulled on a baggy shirt to hide the start of my baby bump and a pair of shorts, as we walked out of the room and started down the stairs another growl made the house shake and this time I knew exactly who it was. "Rose!" Me and Kai said at the same time as we ran the rest of the way down the stairs and sees Rose shifting and holding Sunflower close to her and glaring at father, Kari hugged her, "father this is mine and Rose's adopted daughter Sunflower, please don't think of hurting our child. She can't heal your sickness." I was shocked at the scene in front of me, did daddy try to use Sunflower and then eat her? My eyes were glowing purple as I walked over to them and glared at daddy, "how dare you try to use and eat niece?? Aren't you here to settle this incident then go home? If so then do that, and do not look at Sunflower again!" I said in the most annoyed tone that ever came out of my mouth, it shocked me but I didn't dare show daddy my shock, only the anger. "Fine. Let us get this over with then Bellianna Wing Vanpir, nice to see you too." I crossed my arms and looked over at Sunflower, "are you okay honey? Did the big monster scare you?" She nodded and hid her face in Rose's chest. "Don't worry Crimson beauty, none of us will let him hurt you." Axius said to Sunflower but kept a distance from Rose and Kari, Sunflower looked at him and flashed him one of her heart melting happy grins, he grinned back and gave her a thumbs up. Archard and Cahyra walk in the house and look at everyone and lastly their eyes land on daddy, "well… now that we're back let us talk Saint Lucien. Shall we?" Cahyra said in a voice as cold as ice, if you ask me she is a lot more scary than the Alpha, she comes off as helpless and too feminine to be able to defend herself, but she is strong and has never lost a fight in her life. She is what packs call the Alpha female, her wolf is stronger than others and she is most fit to be one of the leaders of any pack. Kai hugged me tightly and looks at his mom, "mother, I think it's best that we all talk about this and now, I don't want to add stress to Belli." His hands rested on my stomach the whole time he hugged me, Cahyra looked at us and nodded, I noticed mom was looking at me with wonder and glanced at Kai's hands then gave me a questioning look. I smiled and winked at her, her eyes flew open and she put a hand on her chest and tilted her head to the side for confirmation again, I nodded and she walked over. 'Congrats you two, I'm so happy that I'll be able to meet my grandchildren' she mouthed at us and Kai grinned, at least mom knew, we can't tell daddy or else he might die right here and now, she hugged me and held me close. "I'm glad to see you again Bell-Bell, missed you a lot. And hope to see more of you in the future.” She winked at me and Kai, all of us walked into the Alpha’s office large enough for everyone. We sit down looking at each other and I look at Alpha Archard, he looks at us all then smiles as he starts out with the meeting, “we’re here to discuss what happened two weeks ago, now I’ll have Bellianna start with their version, then we go from there. Bellianna? Let’s hear your story, okay?” I nodded and turned my gaze to my father, “don’t leave any details out, include all of it.” I looked at Kai and squeezed his hand under the table, “me and Kai were newly mated, when I got a call… Karissa wanted to visit me but I told her not now, she asked why so I had told her Kari was seeing me, she hung up on me then and I shrugged it off… then later found out she left home hours ago and was on her way here. I felt bad so I told Kari I was responsible, he had gotten mad and took me into the forest and got so mad he shifted…” I paused when father glared at Kari and mom gasped. “Kai and Rose came and Rose convinced him to go home with her, he did and they left. After they did not a few minutes went by when Kai was thrown away from me by Karissa. I told her it was my mate and she apologized to him and asked about Kari, I told her he found his mate and she would kill her the second she got ahold of her… thinking me and Kai could clean up this incident I told Kai to grab ahold of her and tear her head off. He almost succeeded but she fooled him and he let go before ripping her head off, and she crushed his ribs and came towards me, he called Rose before he passed out.” 

Kari’s P.o.v

That’s the first time I heard it from Belli’s point of view before, I had wondered why she and Kai acted so recklessly and was sad she only wanted to help and I was mad at her. A new wave of guilt washes over me then Rose looked at me and held my hand and smiled at me, it instantly calmed me down and I look at father, he seems confused and shakes his head. “I’m sorry, how did you tell Kai that with Karissa standing in front of you, and how did Kai reach Rose?” Everyone in the room, including me, said “mind link” and father looks confused, mother does as well. “Father it’s like when mated wolves or a pack can hear each other no matter the distance and it’s all about the bond. If my mate wasn’t a wolf I would be just as confused as you are.” I explained and he looked at Rose and I, "erm...alright then, so Rose it seems that it's your story I need to hear next." She nodded and looked him in the eye while she tells her story.

Rose's P.o.v

"As Kari explained what a mate and pack mind link is, its a little different between me and my brother. We can of course hear each other no matter how far apart we are, but we can also tell how each other is feeling in the distance which is something only mates should experience, I felt his pain but didn't show it. When he explained Belli was in trouble and he was hurt I lost it and shifted running back to where we were, Kari went with me and I saw my brother unconscious and had broken bones. Then saw the vampire trying to push Belli to the ground and hurt her. Belli saw me coming and managed to push her away in time before I ran into both of them and tore her arms off," I grinned and leaned forward, "her screams filled the forest so started to chomp down on her skull then separate her head from her body. But Kari stopped me… and killed her for attacking my brother and Belli." I said and leaned back in my chair, Sunflower turned around in my lap and faced me with her eyes wide and curious, "mommy can I do that when I can turn into a wolf? I can bite skulls?" She asked tilting her head, Axius answered for me with glee in his voice, "of course Crimson beauty, and can do so much more, since your a witch you can learn how to heal and defend your pack. And… a lot more I'll explain later." He said after seeing my glare, and quieted down. "Mommy can I sit with him?" She asked squirming to get down, I let her down and watched her run into his arms and snuggled into his chest. I'm so glad they get along well, I wonder why they had a great connection since they met… eh I worry about that in the future. "Well… where were we?" Saint Lucien asked and leaned forward. 

Kai's P.o.v

Hours pass and we finally conclude the meeting, "well. I agree with Kari's conclusion in executing her, I'm glad he's going to be a good king, and can make good choices. That's all I needed, oh and Kari? I expect you to come home next week to become King. I'm retiring before I die on the throne like my mother." Everyone was in shock, I didn't say another word and took Belli up to our room, "rest well babe, you need it for our baby."
