Rose’s p.o.v

My dreams were the best I’ve had in awhile, it was me and Kari mating what felt like all day long when I heard a phone ringing, I kept my eyes closed but listened to Kari on the phone with someone. “Hey Astrid… uh-huh… WHAT?!? She knows where I am and she’s coming to get me? How in the f**k did she find out??? … Well I’m marked and mated now, so too bad for her. But if I find out someone helped her and gave her information then heads will start rolling, make sure you spread that information around back home okay? Thanks for the update Astrid, make sure you keep guarding the border to see if anything weird happens when she leaves. Bye and take care.” He said as he hung up then I sat up and looked at him feeling the rage he was feeling, Kari pulled me against him hugging me and I felt he was shaking. “My Rose… I’ve just found out an ex of mine somehow found out where I am and she’s coming to find me. She wants me back again…” He said lowly and I look at him and nodded, understanding the situation and explained to him what Belli told me about his ex, mixed emotions played across his face when I told him. Shock, anger, sadness and others I couldn’t quite explain but he got up and pulled his clothes on. “Well let’s just forget about Karissa for now and get some food in you, you haven’t eaten all day and that’s not good. Come on, I’ll wait for you downstairs.” He said and walked out of my room, I walked to my closet pulling out some clothes and was about to walk out of my room when someone knocked. I opened my door to Kai’s face looking all sly and grinning at me, I stared at him for a second and tilted my head “what is it Kai? You look like you want to say something.” I walk past him with Axius shirt in my hand, shutting my door when my brother burst out laughing like I told him the best joke he heard all day, “oh god sis, you missed the best reaction of all time! Kari came downstairs with his marking spot showing proudly and our parents almost had a heart attack seeing your mark on him. ‘When did my daughter mark you? Is she marked as well? Your mates now? Oh god, Jaxon! Our daughter is mated now, what do we do?’ Then dad came running in, saw Kari’s mark and fainted. Actually fainted! Hahaha, I was worried when you weren’t at school today but seeing all that made up for it completely.” He said as he wiped the tears from his eyes and held his stomach still giggling, I just stared wide eyed with my mouth hanging open at him almost regretting missing it but smiled to myself as I walk down the stairs. Dad was laying on the couch with a hand over his face, mom sitting next to him in a daze and Kari standing by the stairs with his back to me, “I thought Kai was kidding about mom and dad, not being serious about what happened and was said.” I mumbled to Kari who only chuckled pulling me against him, “well if it was me and I found out my daughter found her mate, her being 17-19 age group and they were freshly mated… I might faint too.” He said with a smile gently kissing my forehead, after Kari said that about us having a daughter my father jumped up pulled me behind him and stared at Kari “... she will not be having a kid anytime soon as long as she’s under my roof. Got that little vampire?” Dad growled at him looking angry at the idea of me being pregnant so young, Kari nodded at his words and looked at my father in the eye, "sir I know you hate vampires, hell I hate most vampires too… " He said with a small smile on his lips, "but I must tell you, and Rose's mother that she won't be living here forever, she's coming home with me and she has to soon. My ex somehow found out where I am and once she finds out I'm mated she will kill whoever it is." His eyes turn purple then and he shakes with rage wafting off him, he turns and growls trying to hold in the shift he was wanting to make. "We must keep Rose protected at all costs, and I'm not sure if I should take her home with me when Karissa leaves where she won't be allowed back in or stay here and take care of her here. If we leave we'll be putting this pack in risk of her killing most of you… I want to kill whoever told her, then kill Karissa." Kari said as he turned to face us, his eyes shifting between his blue green eyes to red, purple then repeating that pattern. Belli walked in from outside and looked at each is us slowly, walked over to Kari and started crying out upset for some reason, "I'm sorry big brother… She reached out to me asking about you and I told her you were visiting me. I'm sorry!" She said and hugged Kari's stiff body. 

Kari's p.o.v

I heard Belli speak but my mind didn't process what she said, she hugged me and I couldn't believe my own sister's naivete would put my mate in danger along with her family. Without another word I grabbed Belli by her arm and walked outside using my speed, I pulled her into the forest and pushed her into a clearing a decent distance from the pack and watched her, "I never thought as long as you've been alive, you would betray me Bellianna. Maybe you didn't do it on purpose, maybe you did and I don't know which it is… you've put not only your mate in danger but MY MATE… in danger as well." I growled starting to lose control, my arms turning black signaling my change. Suddenly Belli stopped crying and looked up at me, "you really think I'd tell her on purpose? It's as you said I put my mate in danger and my best friend in danger, along with their family. I'd never hurt the ones I love and you know that. I've protected you more times than you can count from father and the rest of our family. Remember that? But since your too consumed with rage to hear me, do what you must." She stood up watching me, I turned to a huge bat and was about to attack her when two growls interrupted me, I look and see two wolves walking toward us. "Kai, Rose. Leave right now, he doesn't have control of himself and he'll hurt both of you. Mate or not Rose, please leave I'll be fine. You've seen me fight before I can take care of myself." Belli begged them both but they stood in front of her in a protective way, when the wolf with brown fur shifted into my mate and stood in front of me naked for a second time today, "mate or not Kari… hurt her and you answer to me and her mate Kai. I know you can understand me and you're understanding what your about to do but listen. You don't know something about Belli, you may have known her your whole life but you haven't noticed yet." Noticed what? I look at Belli and she looks the same, other than her hair is up and she's holding her stomach but she's the same… wait stomach holding? "Kari she's pregnant! Would you strike a pregnant woman, especially if she's your sister?" I couldn't believe it, my sister is pregnant? No I can't trust that, it's a ploy they're making up to save her skin! I growled at them all and wasn't sure now, real or not I couldn't strike my sister… my mate is protecting her I really couldn't hurt her… even if this is a lie to save my sister. "It's not a lie Kari, not even an hour ago she found out she was pregnant, she was so happy but was then hurt because of what she did telling Karissa where we are. She regretted it so bad she told you, she was scared to because she knew how you'd react to this. Remember how she is, she's naive and childish, fragile yet strong. She's an airhead sometimes… come on shift back and come home with me."
