Fear and Endurance
“If I endure this now, things will get better,” Lily told herself, over and over. After her parents died, she was left alone, with nothing but an old bakery that barely got any customers. The only way out of her miserable life was to study hard, do well in school, and get a good job. But nothing had ever been easy. At school, her classmates made her life miserable. Her struggles were nothing more than entertainment for the rich kids. And among them, the one who made her life the worst was Mia. The most popular girl in the class, every boy wanted her attention, and she seemed to take pleasure in making Lily’s life hell. --- It was the same day as always. Lily walked into class and saw her desk covered in ugly words written in marker — Loser, ugly face, and worse. The laughter in her head was almost louder than the classroom noise. “Hey, loser. Follow me.” Lily froze. She knew that voice — Mia Parker. The most beautiful girl in their class, and the one who treated Lily like her personal servant. Lily had stopped fighting back a long time ago. Without a word, she followed. They stopped outside the medical room. Mia turned and smirked. “Stand here. Don’t let anyone in,” she said. Mia stepped inside, leaving the door half open. From where she stood, Lily could see a tall boy leaning against the bed. “Baby, why are you in a hurry?” Mia said while unbuttoning her shirt Guy lay down on the bed, rolling his eyes before speaking “I don't have time for chat, remove it quickly.” Mia removed her uniform from her shirt to her skirt, showing her pale skin “You are always in a hurry.” Without warning guy pulled her, pinning her down to the bed beneath him. Lilly, who was standing outside the door, became pale just thinking about happening inside the room Just after few minutes the room filled with moaning and screaming The guy's voice was demanding and mixed with amusement “You like it, didn't you?” Every subtle movement from Daniel made her pulse spike, and she felt a thrill she hadn’t expected “Yes, baby, she said, clutching the bedsheet tightly. Suddenly, the sound becomes louder. Mia's cry mixes with pleasure, and the guy's vulgar comments “Tell me you are a seducing pervert.” Mia’s eyes widened, and a shaky, excited energy coursed through her “Ye.. yes baby,”Mia's voice trembled The more she agrees, the louder she screams Lilly, who was listening to all this, became stiff. Each muffled voice from inside made her chest tighten more, and she held her breath until her lungs burned, terrified that if they heard her, they’d drag her into whatever was happening in that room. --- After what felt like hours, the sounds from the room finally stopped. The door opened, and Mia stepped out, fixing her hair with slow, sharp movements. Her eyes locked on Lily like knives. She walked straight to her, heels clicking against the floor. Without warning, she grabbed a fistful of Lily’s hair and yanked her head back. “If you open that stupid mouth,” Mia hissed, her breath hot against Lily’s face, “you know what will happen.” Lily’s eyes stung, but she stayed silent. She had learned long ago that talking back only made things worse. Mia let go with a hard shove, sending Lily stumbling backward. Without another word, she walked away toward the hall A moment later, the guy walked out. He had messy brown hair, a sharp jawline, and warm brown eyes that didn’t look very warm at all. His shirt was half undone, showing part of his chest. He stopped in front of Lily and smirked. “Did you enjoy the show?” he asked. Lily quickly looked away, her face hot. “Pathetic,” he muttered, then walked off down the hall. --- Even after a few days, the memory of that afternoon was still stuck in Lily’s head. She told herself to forget it, to move on. But the moment she walked into the school that morning, she heard two girls whispering near the lockers. “Did you hear the news? That popular senior, Daniel, and Mia… they had something going on,” one girl said. The other girl laughed softly. “With that senior’s history? It’s physical.” “Seriously?” the first one asked, sounding shocked. Lily’s jaw tightened. She was the only one who knew exactly what had happened. She didn’t stop to listen anymore — she just walked past them and headed toward her class. But before she could step inside, Mia’s hand clamped around her wrist. “You little witch, come with me,” Mia hissed. She didn’t wait for an answer. She dragged Lily down the hall, out of the main building, and into the old, empty part of the school. --- Daniel sat lazily on the old wooden bench, scrolling through his phone like he had nothing better to do. Emma stood nearby, her eyes bright with excitement, watching everything like it was her favorite show. Mia yanked Lily forward and shoved her to the floor right at Daniel’s feet. The phone in his hand stilled, his eyes finally lifting to look at her. “You’re even more pathetic than I thought,” he said flatly. Then, without another glance, he looked back at his phone, his face showing no interest in the scene in front of him. Mia stepped forward and grabbed Lily’s hair in a hard yank. “So it’s you,” she snapped, her voice sharp. “You’re the one spreading rumors about me!” She gave another pull, making Lily wince. “You think you’re clever? Talking behind my back, making me look bad?” Mia’s tone dripped with insult as she looked Lily up and down. “Pathetic loser… always pretending to be quiet and innocent, but you’re just desperate for attention.” Mia turned her head toward Daniel, still keeping a tight grip on Lily’s hair. “Baby,” she said with a sweet, fake smile, “what should we do with her?” Daniel finally set his phone down on the bench, his eyes moving lazily from Mia to Lily. A faint smirk touched his lips. “Do whatever you want,” he said, his tone low and careless. “Just don’t make too much noise.” Then he leaned back again, as if the whole thing was nothing more than background entertainment. Mia glared down at Lily, her grip unrelenting. “You heard him,” she said coldly. “If you make a sound, I’ll make this the worst day of your life.” Lily winced in pain, struggling. “Let me go, I—” Before she could finish, Mia’s hand struck her cheek with a sharp slap. Emma flinched at the sound, her smile faltering for a second, but Daniel didn’t even glance up from his phone. Mia’s eyes hardened as she leaned closer to Lily. “Didn’t I say not to make noise?” she said coldly. Emma crossed her arms, a mocking smile curling on her lips. “Lily, why are you making things hard for yourself?” she said in a teasing tone. “Just admit it… Maybe then Mia will let you go.” Mia slapped Lily’s cheek again, the sharp sound echoing in the empty room. “No,” she said with a cruel smile, “I’m not letting this witch go, even if she begs.” She tilted her head slightly, her grip still tight in Lily’s hair. “But… maybe I’ll be less cruel if she admits it.” Lily’s hands clenched into fists as she stared down at the floor, refusing to meet anyone’s eyes. She stayed silent. Mia’s face twisted in anger. She slapped Lily once, then again, and again, each strike harder than the last. But Lily didn’t say a word, her lips pressed tightly together. Mia’s anger finally boiled over. She let out a harsh growl and raised her hand again, ready to strike. But before she could, Emma quickly stepped in and grabbed her arm, trying to hold her back. “Enough, Mia!” Emma said sharply, forcing her to step back. Mia struggled against her grip, eyes blazing with fury, but for the moment, she couldn’t move closer to Lily. Mia shoved Emma lightly aside and stormed out of the room, her footsteps echoing down the hallway. Emma hesitated for a moment, then followed her, casting one last glance at Lily before disappearing behind Mia. Lily stayed on the floor, trembling, trying to catch her breath and make sense of what had just happened. Daniel didn’t move from the bench. He watched Lily for a moment, his expression unreadable. “Finally,” he said lazily, his voice calm but edged with amusement. “About time they left.” He leaned back, picking up his phone again, scrolling like nothing had happened, leaving Lily to process the chaos on her own. Lily’s legs gave out beneath her, and she collapsed to the floor, barely able to hold herself up. --- Lily’s eyes slowly opened. Her head hurt, and her body felt sore. She was still lying on the cold floor when she heard a soft, shaky voice of a girl nearby. Her stomach tightened with unease. Her voice trembled, barely audible. “What if… someone sees us?” Danial's hand slid down to her thigh, squeezing gently as he leaned in closer, his breath hot against your ear. "Then let them watch. Let them see how fu*king perfect you look right now, sitting on my lap with my thing inside you." Lily’s eyes snapped open, her heart pounding in her chest. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Her stomach twisted, and a cold shiver ran down her spine. Girls' cheeks burned, and she bit her lip, glancing nervously at the floor. “But… someone is lying on the floor,” she said softly, her voice shaky. Daniel’s lips curved into a slow, confident smirk. "Shh... I know," Danial whispered, his hand still covering your mouth as he slowly lifted you up and down on his thing, ignoring the unconscious girl beneath them. His eyes met her's intensely "She can't hear us... Focus on me instead." Her voice came out weak and shaky, barely a whisper. “Y-yes ” After what felt like forever, the voices finally stopped. Lilly stayed still for a moment, afraid to move. The girl slipped away quietly, moving so no one would notice her. Lily stayed frozen on the floor, waiting for Daniel to leave, her body still trembling. Then she heard his voice, low and teasing: “Did you enjoy the show?” Her heart skipped a beat. She didn’t know whether to look up or stay hidden Before she could even decide what to do, Daniel stood up and walked away. His steps were calm, confident, leaving Lily on the floor.
