Raziel POV "This shouldn't be happening," I whispered in my head as my hand reached for the ornate box that Elder Sola had placed before me. The aged wood, adorned with intricate carvings, felt cool and slightly rough against my fingertips. I had not expected the morning to turn out this way. It was the morning of Alexandria's fifth memorial, and I had been preparing to leave my bed and visit her grave when Kylan entered my room with the news of Elder Sola's son's death.
