I arrived at the Briefing Room and there were two other officers and a dozen or so Rangers in attendance. Moments later, the Colonel entered and one of the Rangers called everyone to attention.
The Colonel took his place at the head of the long table and after a moment said, “Gentlemen, please be seated. I have called you here this morning to brief you on an important mission that I’m asking you to volunteer.
