"What if you never find that man?" Asked Nathaniel.
"I'll stay single" She said with a simple shrug.
Polly thought Nathaniel would be glad for her decision, that way he would have no obstacle to continuing his wanderings.
The rest of the walk was silent with both of them engrossed in thinking about each other; they arrived at the mansion and Nathaniel took Polly's hand and just like that they walked up the steps.
"Hello, boys, how nice of you to arrive" Mrs. Waters said to them as they entered the foyer.
"Thanks, Grace, where's Mary?" Asked Polly.
"She's already asleep Polly, I wish you could have seen her. Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman took her for a walk and the little girl was so happy. But the tiredness of the day got the better of her and she fell asleep like an angel... ah, M
