6 6 Sherry SherrySherryThe alarm goes off and Sherry gets out of bed easily. She is a ball of nerves wondering what the school will be like. Everyone begins with their volunteer placements today and hers is the farthest away with the earliest start time. She stands in front of the bathroom mirror, applying her make-up just as she has for the last eight years of her life. Eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and since she is going to be working at a school, only a quick coat of light pink lip gloss. Lipliner and lipstick don’t seem necessary. Her long curly blonde hair is worn down with plenty of gel and hairspray, slightly crunchy to the touch, to hold the curls.
