In that moment, my shock was the only thing that existed. It was hard to believe that she had been taken to the same city as us…even harder to believe that she was missing. I frowned as I looked at her picture. It had been taken recently, I guessed shortly after she had arrived in the town. She didn’t look happy in it. Her lips were pushed into a pencil straight line as she stood beside the goofy woman that had adopted her. The lack of emotion seemed odd, but I didn’t focus on it. How long had she been going to the same school as May, and my sister had had no idea? In my mind, I remembered that May was separated from the rest of the kids because of her special learning needs…of course she wouldn’t know that Agnus had been in the same school. I sighed heavily as I stared blankly at the TV.
