Eye's upon me
I remember that night. It had just rained. The air was thick and moist. The grass sparkled in the moonlight. I had just woken up from a nap, so I went to get a drink and sit on the enclosed patio. The sound of the night echoed in my ears as I breathed in the fresh, rain-filled air. Gazing into the woods just 300 feet away, I caught sight of a pair of magnificent glowing blue eyes. Despite their beauty, I knew that danger lurked behind them. As I entered my house, I made sure to lock all the doors and windows, as I didn't want whatever it was to find its way in. The following morning, I went about my usual routine, taking a shower and getting ready for the day. I made sure to take care of my hair, skin, and shave as needed before applying my makeup then putting on my cheer uniform. High school is like a second home to me since my mom works a lot and my dad is constantly on tour with his band. The last I heard from him, he was performing at Madison Square Garden. "He comes home every so often, but when he does, Mom and he always end up fighting. I understand both sides - Mom is lonely, and Dad wants to ensure that we can all have the best life. Personally, I don't mind my dad being gone as much as Mom does. He calls us every day and texts us all the time. He's never gone too long without contact."
As soon as I entered the main corridor of the school, my friends greeted me with a million questions about homecoming. They bombarded me with questions like, "Who are you bringing?" "What are you wearing?" "Should we all match?" or "Should we go together as each other's dates?" However, I couldn't focus on their questions because I felt like someone was staring at me intensely, as if they were looking straight into my soul.
I looked past my friends, and to my surprise, I recognized those same eyes from last night. They weren't glowing like they did before, but I knew they were the same. Without hesitation, I walked straight up to him and called him out for being a stalker and for his inappropriate behavior. The man was tall, handsome, and intimidating, but I stood my ground and looked him directly in the eyes, refusing to back down even though everyone was staring at us." He looks me up and down, lets a very deep laugh and just walks away waving his hand at me, almost like he was dismissing me. "My friend Mia helped me calm down after the frustrating encounter with the man who was towering over me. Suddenly, Mia shouted my name, "Julia! Why did you attack him? He didn't do or say anything to you!" I replied to her, "Mia, I know this may sound crazy, but I feel like I know him. I just can't explain it."
Mia was surprised, "Oh, really? What's his name then, Julia?" she asked." I stuttered
when trying to answer her, obviously I don’t know his name. In fact I have never seen him here before, is he new here? I couldn’t think of that though so I headed to my first class. As I sat there in class, my mind wandered off to thoughts of him. I couldn't help but be captivated by his stunning appearance. His hair was so blonde that it almost looked white in certain lighting, and it was styled to perfection. His face was ruggedly handsome, with brilliant blue eyes that seemed to twinkle in the sunlight. I couldn't help but admire his long, muscular legs and chiseled chest, as well as his strong arms. He looked like a god among men, but deep down, I knew that gods don't actually exist.
As I was lost in my daydream, the sound of the bell ringing snapped me back to reality. I couldn't believe that I had lost the entire day lost in thought about him. The worst part was that I didn't even know his name. I couldn't help but wonder if I would ever get the chance to meet him and learn more about him. Engaging in cheer practice provided some temporary relief from the thoughts of him lingering in the back of my mind. However, to my astonishment, as I lifted my gaze, there he stood right in front of me, radiating an aura of god-like magnificence. As soon as I stepped into the gym, I heard a low voice calling out my name. It was a voice that I didn't recognize, and it took me by surprise. "Fancy seeing you here, Julia," the voice said. I didn't know how to respond, as I couldn't recall ever meeting him before. I had seen him in the woods last night and again this morning when I confronted him, but that didn't explain how he knew my name. After all, we had never introduced ourselves.
I was even more confused when I realized that school was over for the day and this was cheer practice. There was no reason for him to be here unless he was trying out for the team, but that seemed unlikely. He didn't look like the cheerleading type, and he didn't seem interested in the practice either. So why was he here? I couldn't help but feel uneasy about the whole situation. Do I know you? I quickly responded to him. No Julia you don’t know me but I know you and I know you’re special even if you don’t know it, Julia your life is about to change forever. As he spoke, I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassment and confusion. I looked away, trying to hide my face from him. Why was I blushing? I couldn't understand it. When I finally gathered the courage to look at him again, he was gone. The whole encounter felt surreal, like a dream that I couldn't quite remember.
As soon as I step inside my house, I kick off my shoes and make my way up the stairs to my bedroom. I can't wait to change my clothes and take a refreshing shower before heading over to Mia's house. With Homecoming just around the corner, my friends and I are still on the hunt for the perfect dresses. I pause for a moment to catch a glimpse of myself in the bathroom mirror. I can't help but admire my appearance - my vibrant red hair flows all the way down to my knees, my skin is a flawless ivory that glows in the light, and my curvy figure accentuates my feminine curves beautifully, with semi-large breasts and a plump backside. As I finish my refreshing shower, I cannot help but think of the terrible shower karaoke that I just indulged in. I quickly get dressed and blow dry my hair, feeling energized and ready to face the day. My plan for the day is to meet my best friend Mia and go dress shopping. As I pull up to her house, I see her pacing back and forth, looking anxious. She quickly hops into the car, exclaiming "About time!" in her signature squeaky voice. I apologize for running late, but she assures me that it's okay and that she was just teasing me. We both buckle up and head to the dress boutique, where we are greeted by a sea of vibrant colors and a plethora of styles. I feel like a kid in a candy store - I am officially in heaven! Mia allowed me to try on countless dresses before presenting me with my dream dress. The emerald dress was an absolute stunner. Its vivid green hue complemented my fiery red hair and ivory skin so perfectly that it felt like it was made for me. The fabric had a subtle shine to it that caught the light in just the right way, making me feel like a movie star. I couldn't help but twirl around in front of the mirror, admiring how the dress flowed effortlessly around me. Without a doubt, this was the perfect dress for me.As I continued browsing through the dresses, my attention was drawn to Mia's dress. Mia and I had similar body types, but she had long, beautiful blonde hair. She had tried on numerous dresses but none of them seemed to be perfect for her. I was beginning to lose hope as well until I stumbled upon a stunning dark grey dress that shimmered in the light. Its intricate design and elegant cut took my breath away, and I knew it would be the perfect dress for Mia. Instructing her to close her eyes, I helped her into the dress, so she could experience the same awe I did earlier. Finally allowing her to look at her reflection Mia starts bawling. A little worried i asked if she was okay if she liked it or not. Looking down at me tears and mascara flowing down her face she finally told me she loved it. As my best friend and I were walking out of the dress store with our new purchases, we suddenly heard a loud thud. To my surprise, I felt a sharp impact on my shoulder and turned around to see that it was the same Blue-eyed man that I had encountered the night before and earlier that morning. Despite feeling annoyed and frustrated by his presence, I decided to remain calm and composed.
I took a deep breath and apologized for the collision, hoping that he would move on and leave us alone. However, he continued to follow us and started shouting, "Really, Julia? You're going to act like you don't know me?" I tried my best to ignore him and kept walking, hoping that he would get the hint and leave us alone.
But he was persistent and kept following us, making it clear that he wanted to talk. I could feel my patience wearing thin, but I didn't want to ruin the good day I was having with my friend. We decided to keep walking and enjoy our day, leaving the Blue-eyed man behind.Living in or near a bustling city can be both exciting and hectic. However, one of the downsides of city living is the constant struggle to find a decent parking spot. After an arduous search, we finally reach my car, which is parked a few blocks away. We place our dresses in the trunk, making sure to lay them flat. As we settle into the car, I turn to Mia and ask if she is hungry. Mia, looking somewhat exhausted, shrugs her shoulders and replies in a faint voice, "Yeah, I could really eat something right now."
