Mandy stood guard on the door, as if she was not to move. Mrs Halls cleared her throat and looked at her as she held Nadia
“Won’t you step away from the door?” she looked behind and opened the door rapidly “Sorry” Mrs Halls took Nadia to bed her bed and tucked her in. When she looked around, she saw Emma standing by Mandy
“What are you doing here?” she asked sternly. Nadia smiled and said “She was sleeping here, I asked her to” Mrs Halls twisted her face as she looked at Nadia not able to comprehend why she would let Emma stay in her room.
Mandy was looking at cupboard, with her heart pounding inside out.
