Chapter 2

1667 Words
She woke up on the cold floor feeling chilly needles biting all her weak body. She felt sick. She went to the bathroom and tried to vomit as if trying to get rid of the horrible memories of the last night. As if she didn't have enough bad memories to last her for a lifetime... She looked in the mirror and saw a pale girl with messy, stinky black hair and empty black eyes staring at her from the abyss where was her soul. This girl was broken time and time again during the last years... When Ellie was ten, her mother remarried, and Ellie thought they would live their happily ever after from now on. Gina Goldwin was the daughter of the Goldwin family and was to inherit quite the fortune after she came off age. However, she fell in love with Ellie's father, a man with a very humble background, and was banished from the family after refusing to leave him. Unfortunately, David, her father, passed away from lung cancer when Ellie was 8 years old. This left Gina heartbroken and vulnerable, and when she was on the brick of mental collapse, a man called Garry Garrikson who was running the Goldwin's business came forward and took her in his care. Ellie who still missed her father dearly couldn't help feeling sad but as Gina started to show at least a little interest in life, she decided it was for her mother's best. The two got married, and Ellie's grandparent Jeremy decided it was okay to accept her existence now that Gina married the man he approved of. He handed him the reigns of the company and after this day she was hastily sent away to the boarding school in Europe. Ellie felt betrayed, and lonely as her mother called her only twice a year, and she wasn't even allowed to go back home for Jeremy's funeral. Not that she loved this cold man, but he was a family after all. She went through almost ten years of her life without the family's support so when she lay awake and cry herself to sleep, she would imagine that one day she would marry a kind and handsome man who would become her real family. And she would never be left alone... Ellie rubbed her pulsating temples and washed her face with cold water. Then she stepped in the shower still in the torn dress and only when the hot water touched her aching skin, did she strip of the wet fabric. She went downstairs knowing well that if she didn't, he would mock her or worse come to look for her. She saw Daniel at the table. He was fully dressed in a suit but without a jacket on and sipped calmly on his coffee. Ellie felt even more vulnerable in his presence as she was wearing a simple cotton shirt and home pants. Her still moist hair was hanging loosely around her face. The maid who saw her yesterday in her disheveled state, hurriedly looked away as she put the bowl of cereals in front of her. Ellie didn't know her name. Only the maids who satisfied Daniel and didn't gossip about him treating his wife as scum managed to secure their position in this house. Seeing the frightened look on the maid's face as she approached Daniel, Ellie could tell this one wouldn't last long. As she was meekly chewing her cereals, she felt his gaze on her. She pretended not to notice but after a while, he grabbed her hand with a spoon in it demanding her attention. She looked at him and wasn't surprised to see his smirk. "This one must have hurt," he said and as she followed his gaze she saw an ugly bite mark on her right collarbone. She hastily pulled the shirt's collar to cover the mark, and his gaze instantly darkened. He grabbed the collar of the shirt and pushed it down and she gasped in surprise. One of her breasts was revealed to him and all the servants, one of them being the girl with a terrified expression in her eyes. He touched the bare skin where the mark was, and she felt her heart skipping a beat. "Out," he commanded grabbing her hand and sitting her on top of the table, two of the maids as if on command hurriedly left the dining room closing the door behind them. Only the girl from yesterday stayed glued to the place unable to tear her eyes away from the scene in front of her. Daniel looked at her with amusement and asked very kindly, "What's your name dear?" "Ginger," she replied in a slightly trembling voice. "Ginger," he said, "you're fired". The girl looked at him with eyes full of tears. Then she stubbornly looked back at Ellie and suddenly said. "I can call the police if you want madam." Ellie's eyes darted at her as if she has never seen anyone like her in her whole life. Yes, there were servants who resigned after witnessing Daniel's actions or those who were fired because their terrified faces disgusted Daniel, that's why the servants constantly changed, but never once any of them tried to protect her, Ellie. Daniel laughed sarcastically and lifted Ellie's chin. "Why.. do you want her to call the police dear?" he asked amused. She wanted to say yes, she wanted to lock him as far away as possible so that she would never be subjected to his cruelness...Oh, how she wanted... She closed her eyes tiredly and said very quietly. "No." Daniel turned to Ginger who was now blushing from anger and told her in a very menacing tone. "I will make sure that in this city you will never find a job as a maid." At that, her expression changed to that of fear and despair but Ellie who heard his words opened her eyes and caught his palm with both her hands. "No, please! Please don't do anything against her, please," she begged him. ''Ginger, please go out," she hurried to say and this time the maid lowered her gaze and left without looking back. As they heard the door click, Daniel looked at Ellie's hand grabbing his palm, and then looked her in the eyes, a waterfall of emotions swirling in his eyes and threatening to run over. He smiled almost gently and caressed her cheek with the tip of his thumb. "Then please me," - he deadpanned, and this exact phrase sent cold disgusting shivers down her spine and she trembled as hot tears started running down her cheeks. In the next moment, he grabbed, the collar of her shirt and tore it open. He threw the plates and the dinnerware from the table and it fell with a cluttering sound on the marble floor. Then he laid her on the now empty table, took off her pants, and put her legs on his shoulders before unzipping his trousers. Ellie closed her eyes and then felt his member stretching her v****a which still hurt from yesterday's intercourse. She clenched her hands and grabbed the table beneath her to get at least a bit away from him, but this angle left her at his complete disposal as he was holding her legs with his hands and humping violently into her. His labored gasps and the licking sounds of s*x filled Ellie's mind as she was yet again reliving her worst nightmare. When she finally finished her studies in Great Britain and after that in Italy and came home, she found out that her years of loneliness and despair were nothing in comparison to the life her mother led. She was a ghost of her former self, afraid of Garry who manhandled her on a daily basis after seizing the company's assets causing her grandfather to die from a heart attack. He was running the business and ruining her mother. Later she found out that her mother sent her to the boarding school to protect her from the stepfather as soon as she realized what a monster she married. Ellie was desperate when she learned that Garry put her mother in the mental institution. He was about to expand his empire, and Ellie was a part of his recent big scheming plot. And she would obey him as long as he held the custody over her poor mother… She snapped back to reality when he emptied himself inside her. This happened already twice. Before Daniel was freakishly careful about putting on a condom before taking her. The only time when he forgot, was that horrible dreadful night about a year ago when he was so brutal that she ended up in the hospital. He said these exact words that night. "Then please me." And since then, she couldn't help but fear him in the way she never feared anyone, not even Garry. She couldn't help feeling disgusted when he touched her although before there were times when she actually thought that they might... "Take this," he said handing her a pink pill and a glass of water. For a moment, she thought that it was for the cold, that he was worried about her getting sick after yesterday's events, but as if reading her mind, he laughed humorously and spoke. "It's to make sure you don't get pregnant unless of course, you want to get an abortion." She stared at him as if seeing the man for the first time. No matter how much he hated her, how could he even contemplate the idea of killing his own blood? She wanted to tell him that she loathed him with her whole soul and that she would rather kill herself than doom the child to the life he would undoubtedly have if he or she were born in their wedlock, but she remained silent. She took the pill and gulped the water down feeling like her insides were twisting with repulsion.
