Chapter 31

Is this like a revenge on him for trying to give them a solution?  Looking more closely, not only did they cut off his head, they were beginning to cut off his body parts. Like, his arms and legs, then the body itself were been cut into smaller pieces as they threw them all into the fire, thereafter, they all stepped into the fire. In the raging fire, they could see some movements of the monsters. What exactly are they doing in there? How exactly can they walk in fire without getting burnt?  After seeing all this, Kath was grateful that her dead dad's body didn't end up this way. His dead body didn't end up in the belly of the monsters; it was only used to please their selfish needs. The people were still in shock; they have heard a lot about monsters, but never have they expected that, monsters also feed on humans. So many questions now runs through their minds: what if, they end up dying in the game, will their body get fed on, or, it will be used for Ravana's needs? What if, each and everyday one of them has to be eaten as their breakfast, lunch or dinner? Will they now live in fear, knowing fully well that they will end up been eaten up? This is beginning to get really confusing to them as they are beginning to doubt it it they are here for the game or to get fed on? Probably, they are here for both. Wow! Their life is even more complicated than they have thought. "This is so scary!" A soldier exclaimed beside Kath. Obviously, he wasn't the only one scared, everyone had their legs and hands shaking uncontrollable.  "Someone else should at least have an idea on where the book is been kept. I can't wait to get out of here; am literally dying just watching this." A man whispered beside Kath, with a trembling voice. "You've got to be kidding me. If ever, someone has an idea, how do we get the book? Not only that, whoever has an will end up like him." A man answered referring to the soldier in the fire. "But then again, we can't just stay calm until Ravana does whatever he wants to us. Is there a possibility that we can get this ropes off our body and run out of her..." "Is that even possible? How can we find our way back to Nazirites? We are obviously in an unknown destination. Who knows? We might be underground." That same man replied cutting the soldier mid sentenced. Kath sighed and raised her head to look at the sky. She noticed that the sky was no longer of two colours, as it has now change to red. Is there a possibility that they might be underground? Cause, where on earth does the sky turns red? Or changes colour as it likes? Where exactly? As far as she was concerned, such place doesn't and has never existed on earth, so there is an higher possibility that they were no longer on earth. She would say, they are definitely far away from Earth. "You've figured it out yourself. You all are far away from earth, you are in a place where you've never heard of and you can't predict, nor, can you conclude on. As long as you are here, you will all be confused forever." This sudden words, from of course, the unseen Ravana had gotten them off guard and they were statled by his sudden voice. Yeah, just like that have predicted, Ravana has definitely been around them. They wouldn't be surprised if they realise that he has been watching them the whole time cause, he is more than mysterious. But then again, they would be kind of shocked if Ravana actually tells them that he has been listening to them the whole time and even the conversation that had about the book and how to find their way back to Nazirites. If truly, he has been listening to them, then their plans will be terminated even before it is executed. Hopefully, they wouldn't have those for breakfast who mentioned about finding their way back to Nazirites. Kath thought that, since Ravana has said a word, then it was a perfect opportunity to ask him a question that she really wanted to ask. Though, she could already see the answers to it, but then, since it isn't confirmed yet, she could confirm from him right now. "Why did your monsters decides to have him for dinner? What was the reason you told them to have him for dinner?" Kath questioned and the people of Nazirites were even more eager to hear the answers to clear their doubts? "You have no right to question the decision I make, for the fact that I have been giving answers to your question does not implies that you could question my decision. I made this decision myself, so don't ask me lame questions." Ravana replied and they could all hear the terror in his voice and they all turned to look at themselves with a raised brow. How could he get offended by such question? It really hasn't gotten to that. Or, he became offended because Kath talked about the man that was about to ruin his whole plans? Just taking about him got him so angry or what? "I didn't questioned the decision you made, I was only trying to know why you decided to kill one of our people." "Our people? Enlighten me, what do you mean by, 'our people?' Are you trying to me that, they are your people since you are the so called princess of Nazirites? Kath, I think you are forgetting the fact that your forefathers sold you all to me, which indicates that, you all belong to me, including you, Kath. You have no right to call them your people when you all belongs to me. Don't claim rights here, this whole place is beyond your stupid authorities."  Beyond her authorities? Does he have a grudge against her? What's up with authorities and whatever? Yeah, their forefathers did sell them to him, so does he have to state the obvious? Besides, what she said isn't what he interpreted it as. "Kath listen to me, no matter your attempt to get that book, trust me, I will make sure you don't. Listen, just like you killed your father, that man burning in that fire, his death also is your fault. He became the first to die because of you..." "Why do you always put blames on me? Why? How is his death my fault? You sent your monsters to kill him and have him for dinner, so why put the blame on me? You killed him. You f*****g killed him and not me!" Kath yelled,  Why does he have to put their deaths on her? She was already guilty of her dad's death and now he is trying to add to it? Yeah, she gets it, he was trying to offer solution to the situation they found themselves in, but it wasn't for her safety alone, it was for everyone. She isn't responsible for this; she won't accept the blame this time. "The next time you speak to me in such a rude way, I will do even more than this." And without letting the words sink into her head, Kath couldn't tell what happened or how it happened, but she started slamming her head on the tree she was tired on. Though, her mindset was still intact and she was wondering what has come over her and why can't she stop herself from slamming her head on the tree she was tied on? She was slamming it really hard on the tree and she could almost feel her head bleed but then, she can't control herself. Ravana is definitely at work here. "Princess, are you okay? Can't you get a hold of yourself?" The soldier closest to her asked, obviously concerned about her. "I... can't! I can... almost feel my head bleed!" Kath replied but then, she stuttered cause of the force she was slamming her head. Damn! The pain is beginning to get to her. Thankfully, he didn't make her mute as she could still same some few words, but then, she was gradually running out of breath. Her head was beginning to go numb.  "Princess, you are bleeding!" That same soldier exclaimed after seeing the blood running down her hairline to the back of her neck. At this point, everything was beginning to get blurry at her sight and she knew she might pass out, but then, Ravana doesn't seems like he would stop controlling her head anytime soon. As time passes by, the force for which she slams her head on the tree seems to increase. "Can... you... please, let it stop?" Kath pleaded cause she knew if this continues, then she might have a memory loss. Immediately she pleaded, her head stopped slamming on the tree, and would she say, it became worst as she could now feel a terrible throbbing pain in her head.  She bent her head trying to calm her head down but it doesn't seem like the throbbing pain would end anytime soon. She could feel blood roll down from her head to her back. Not only did blood roll down her back, a blood rolled down from the back of her head down to her cheek and then to get chin, as it dropped the ground. She could only imagine how the back of her head looks right now. Had it been her been her hands weren't tied a tree, she should have at least held her head to stop it from bleeding. But then, she can't do nothing but to watch the blood roll down freely. She hopes she could stay strong and not pass out.
