I
The great hall was crowded with advisers and noblemen from both kingdoms awaiting the kings and queens. The doors to the grand hall open and the Royal majesties of Aza enter, walking toward their thrones. The heir's throne was empty since the last heir died. Once they took their place the Ometz majesties were announced and made their way to the chairs opposite the thrones. Prince Emir was not to be seen.
King Saul Ometz spoke first, "It has been over 2 years of mourning since your last son passed. We have given you enough time and waited so we could finally set a date for our children's wedding. Yet you have not attempted to contact us and I see as the throne next to her majesty is empty...your daughter is not here. Will she be making an appearance or not?"
King Mustafa Aza stared at King Saul, "I could say the same for your son. Is he truly away or just hiding like your younger prince?"
"My son is away training for battle and will be back soon. However it seems l can't say the same about your daughter. I guess rumors of her are true. That attack 24 years ago by the shadows against your kingdom resulted not only in the late Queen's death but in her child as well."
Furious King Mustafa stood and yelled, "My deceased wife battled against the shadows defending my daughter! She is alive but will not marry your cold and ruthless bastard son. He may be a prince but he will not hurt daughter."
"The prince of Ometz is known as cold and ruthless but hurting your daughter will be the least of his worries. He will comply with his side of the treaty and is prepared to take over your throne upon your death if your daughter doesn't comply with her part as stated in the treaty." Queen Eva stated coldly. Both majesties of Ometz rose and gave King Mustafa an ultimatum. The Ometz's advisors and noblemen followed their majesties.
Once the doors closed King Mustafa directed his gaze at his court. "Find her and bring her back alive by any means necessary. If she doesn't marry that prince within the next year he is entitled to rule our kingdom."
"Yes, your majesty!" they all replied.
Queen Elif left the hall and made her way to the garden. She started pulling at the weeds, thinking of a way to solve this problem without having to bring that child back into the realm. Her family did not sacrifice their time and money in vain. They had to get rid of the late queen and princess so she could become the next queen. The shadows' attack wasn't the plan but they used it to their advantage. The queen was distracted with the attack they were able to take the child to the cottage in the dark woods. Her cousin Osman took the child to the realm of the powerless humans and left her there after they suppressed her powers.
The kingdom felt the Queen's death and mourned the child's death was not felt. They knew she survived but was missing. Elif helped the king during his mourning that lasted a year. After the year the king started to take an interest in other women except her. She made moves on him before he could interact with others. She suggested they sleep together and if he wasn't satisfied she'd leave. He didn't agree but she wasn't done. After a ball she sneaked into his room and started kissing him in his sleep. He was too drunk to know who it was so he slept with her.
Every night after that she would sneak in and sleep with him. It went on for 2 months before she had finally gotten pregnant. He married her before she would show and made her queen.
Elif had 3 sons and 4 daughters. Her daughters were married off to wealthy men from different kingdoms in the realm. Her eldest son died a warrior battling against the shadows. The second son was killed after challenging the greatest warrior of the kingdom, he won but the family of the warrior killed him upon learning he cheated.
The youngest son was born with weak powers and cared little for the people. He wanted to leave and change his fate. The day after his escape they found his scared and broken body a couple feet within the dark woods.
Elif's sons paid for betrayal against the late queen. She continued to pull the weeds until her hands started bleeding. She screamed her frustrations and anger, she had no choice if wanted to keep her crown and by the time a new heir was born the treaty would pass.
She ordered her to prepare for her departure, so she would visit her cousin. There was no way that child would come back here alive. Even if she had to kill the princess. She arrived at her cousin's home within an hour. Osman bowed at her presence, "your majesty, to what do I owe the pleasure?" She took off her family ring and dropped it at his feet. He stared at the ring then at her. "Leave us, Now!" The staff scattered out of the room and the wife excused herself.
"She needs to die before they find her. Find her and kill her otherwise I will strip you off your lands and money, remember I am the queen not just your cousin. I will give you my father's land if you accomplish it without leaving a trace back to me."
Osman smirked and extended his hand, "deal"
Calmer than before she left and acted like always.
On the other side of the castle King Mustafa gathered his best warriors and spies. "We were able to trace her highness in the human realm. once we pass there we will have a higher chance of finding her." The king's right hand man Abraham informed. The king nodded, "very well, pick the best man for the travel. They leave tonight." Twenty men stood up and kneeled in front of him. "Follow me" he ordered and Stroud to the highest tower. He rose his hand and allowed his power to open the portal. The men went stepped in and traveled to the realm know as Earth. King Mustafa closed the portal and stood there begging for her highness to return. Upon her Majesty's return he was informed of her where abouts. Reluctantly he left and made his way to his chambers.
"My queen I have a request for you." he stepped behind her. She nodded for him to go on. "Send our daughters a letter to train and prepare for war. If my eldest daughter doesn't return then Prince Emir will be entitled to this kingdom and our daughters will be his first target. He will kill them to ensure no future heir will challenge him."
"I understand, the letters were sent out this morning before the meeting started."
"I have sent my men hopefully there will be news soon." he looked at her response. "Good news I hope", her eyes reflected her true meaning.
