"Today I called to tell you that I'm changing, but I don't think you have enough respect to see me try." - 5sos

☞ CAN someone tell me what I'm doing right? Because not only has my boss stopped being mean, but has actually been so sweet. Okay maybe not sweet, just normal. Nothing was happening as I've said before. "Hey love, how are you today? How's classes?" Catrina asked me, sitting down next to me.
"They're going good, still maintaining good grades." I smiled. "Good, good. Since we had to fire Kristine, I'm afraid you'll have to take more hours during the day." She said, I nodded. "That's okay, just not between 8 and 1 those are when my classes are."
She smiled. "Thank you so much, you will be paid more! And next week I will have someone new to take care of that spot so you'll be back to your normal schedule."
"I'm fine with that!" I said to her, she nodded and said her goodbyes to me as she left.
I let out a content sigh, I was currently doing school work in the dining room. I think it's good to get out of the room once in awhile, so that's what I was doing.
I did want to go outside by the pool but I know I would be distracted. I studied for about ten minutes when I started to hear like yelling. Yelling and glass smashing. It was by the pool. I furrowed my eyebrows, going to the sound.
Which was my boss. She was on the phone, yelling at the person. She rolled her eyes and huffed. I walked out of the manor, and she looked at me. "Yes?" She asked, still on the phone.
"Are you okay?" I asked her, she rolled her eyes. "Hold on John." She said. "You can go back in. I didn't ask for you out here." She told me, I nodded. "I know that, but I heard glass breaking and yelling."
She huffed. "My god, can you please just leave me the hell alone, I didn't ask for you out here, whatever is happening doesn't concern you." She said, I sighed. "Yeah of course, let me just pick this glass up for you." I told her. I could tell she was angry, and I get that.
But she could possibly hurt her self on the glass and I'd rather just pick it up now than later. "f**k you're annoying. I like it better when you're not talking." She said.
"Listen John, I'll be in the office in 30 minutes, I want everyone in my f*****g office before I get there." Was all she said before she hung up. "Listen, if I'm in the middle of a call, I don't care what breaks, what I say, don't disturb me. I was on an important phone call." She told me.
"You are not my wife. Which means don't saying you were seeing if I was okay, because I could care less." She said to me, my eyebrows lifted. "So please, get the f**k back in there and leave me alone."
I was pretty shocked but listened to her. That was my fault for going to see if she was okay. I walked back in, not bothering to clean up the glass she dropped, she did end up calling the other maid which was fine with me but I could've just cleaned it up.
And she left soon after. That was pretty disappointing. I thought everything was chill. But I also caught her at a bad time, she was already yelling and angry on the phone and I basically just doubled it.
I studied and then started cleaning up afterwards which was soothing, I was blasting my music. I need friends. Friends to go out with, but I'm so nervous to actually speak to people.
I try to do so. But I just can't, I never know what to say.
The other maid, Angeline, was here with me, in the kitchen since we were making food for ourselves. She was very pretty and I really did want to talk to her.
I've just been really really nervous to, I felt like she was a b***h, if that's rude to say. "It's crazy how Kristine got fired. What'd she do again?" Angeline asked.
I looked over at her, she was already looking at me, leaning her side against the counter. "Oh, for stealing stuff I think. Catrina didn't really get into it." She nodded as I talked to her.
"I heard what about happened outside. Are you okay?" She asked. I shrugged. "I always get the heat from her, I'm used it and I caught her at a bad time." I said.
"That's still no way to treat someone, you're a human and only wanted to make sure she didn't hurt herself." Once again, I shrugged. "I'm sorry I didn't check in sooner, I was actually pretty intimidated by you. I mean you're close to Catrina, closer than all of us, you're extremely gorgeous."
I smiled. "There's no way! I was also nervous to talk to you because you were so pretty. I don't know why I just felt like you were out of my league." I said, we both laughed.
"Thank you." She said. "I don't mind that you didn't check in sooner, it's been awhile since she yelled at me." We both sat down by the island, and just began talking about what happened.
"I quit the job, Catrina begged me to stay and so I did, plus I needed the money a lot. Mrs. Leno stopped being a b***h and let me be, she actually made me sit with her at lunch at her office, she barely said a word though."
Angeline furrowed her eyebrows. "She made you sit down with her yet say nothing? Hm." I nodded. "That's what I said! I just wanted to leave! And also, her receptionist was fired because she was treating me unfairly, which was nice of her but she didn't need to fire her."
"It's good that she stopped being a b***h though, I know you get a lot of work here done, and we all need the money." She said, I agreed. "Why do you need this fast money?"
She sighed. "Got kicked out. By my father, I was dating an older guy and he certainly didn't like it. Called me a w***e and the guy dumped me because my dad paid him to." She shrugged.
"What? Thats so messed up!" I said, she nodded and shrugged. "It is, yes, but I have picked out an apartment and I'm about to leave this job."
I nodded. "Once I have enough for a car and an apartment and for me to live with for a while, then I'll quit. I'm almost there to the amount I want." She nodded.
"Tell me more about the bitchy boss." Angeline said, I giggled. And I did. While we were about to part, I told her I would wash her plate. "It's okay, I'm still working, and you need rest! If I hear from the bitchy boss I'll let you know."
Angeline nodded and thanked me for it. I nodded and turned around, putting the dishes in the sink. I heard footsteps and they weren't from Angeline. "Bitchy boss?" I heard, I quickly turned around, seeing Mrs. Leno.
"Uhm..." I couldn't even think of anything to save me. "No excuse?" She asked me. She leaned against the island and I gulped. "That girls name was Angeline, correct?"
I nodded but butted in. "Please don't fire her, this was on me." She shook her head. "I won't fire her. Just know, that she's on the brink for calling me a bitch." She said, I sighed, and nodded. "Sorry for calling you a bitch." I muttered.
"And I'm sorry for being one." I raised my eyebrows in a bit of shock. She was admitting to being a b***h? Was I dreaming? "I was just upset about my job and didn't need to take it out on you when you were only doing your job." She told me.
"So again, I'm sorry and it won't happen again." My mouth parted, but no words came out. "Say something before I regret apologizing."
"It's fine, I shouldn't have bothered you when I knew you were upset." I shrugged, she shook her head. "My actions weren't okay. Dont justify it, even if I was angry, I shouldn't have told you what I told you." She said.
She did make a point and I nodded. "You're right." I said. "So this is the only time I'll hear bitchy boss come from your mouth right?" She asked, I nodded.
"Yup." I said. She stood up straight and nodded. "Thank you, and good night." She said.
