TO FIGHT OR TO DIE

*16 years ago****** "Wake up they are here," he said rapidly shaking the woman who was peacefully sleeping with a child by her side."They know she is born they are after her, please wake up!" he continued rapidly shaking the woman as worry overwhelmed his face. The woman dashed out of bed as fast as she could clearly alarmed by the sudden news. "How did they know ? Who told them ? Clearly they couldn't have known, could they ?" "We have no time my queen, get our child to safety that's all that matters ,I will hold them back . Take her to a safe location a safe place away from our kind," he stated clearly. The woman got to her feet and wrapped the baby girl rather carefully but fast in a thick linen blanket . Just as she was about to make her way to the secret passage her eyes met a rather horrendous looking man his eyes spotted the baby and a smirk grew on his face. The man began chasing the woman who was rather fast on her feet but everywhere she went more threats awaited . She clearly didn't know where she was headed because soon afterwards she was met by a dead end . She watched as the man approached her , she wasn't completely helpless . A short inaudible mutter was all she said and with that the man was sent flying across the room. Finally she found the room she was looking for. Carefully she entered after looking both ways to ensure no one had followed her she then said some strange words in an unknown language and a passage way magically opened.She took the child and brought her close to her chest and clasped her tightly as she ran to the secret passage way . After what seemed like ten minutes of running she was finally in the midst of th great Dark Forest . She mattered something under her breath and she was Infront of a rather modern house. Clearly they were different as one could tell from their features. The baby was only two weeks old but she seemed rather old more like 3 months old she had mint blue highlights on her hair and her ears were sharply pointed, whereas her mother long white hair and a perfect jawline she was beautifully curved even though she had just conceived she was delightful. Ofcourse this defined features would bring suspicion to the human world but it was for the better . "My sweet angel," she cooed the child and continued ,"stay strong , for you are special and beautiful you behold the mark of the great one avenge my blood , for you are the only hope our people ." Now tears were cascading down her eyes as she parted with her child. She could not bare the pain of seeing her child part from her. She rocked the child once more, caressed her cheek and finally put her down after giving her a gentle kiss on the cheek . The child stirred a bit at her warm embrace. She was obviously happy at her mother's gentle touch . "Goodbye little one ," her mother finally said as she placed her down . She muttered something and the door bell miraculously rang it self and just they way she came she was gone. She was proud of herself for leaving the child in safe hands . The door was opened by a middle aged woman maybe in her forties , she wondered who had paid her a visit only to find a baby lying on the ground . A smile stretched in her face as she was happy to see a baby . Her prayer was answered . She called in a man about her age maybe her husband and he was just as shocked to see baby as she was but they greatfully took the baby in as the welcomed her to the family.
