CHAPTER 1:
In a world full of cruelty, can you believe that there can be more evil in it and there is nothing to be done than watch and just get on with life? The world was supposed to be a better place. Until now, I didn’t understand what a better place could be.
“Donna, I have already kept the rest of the plates back on the shelf,” Aisy said, hanging her apron on the stand.
“You’re leaving off early,” Donna spoke, looking at her
“My mom has surgery tomorrow, thought I told you about it,” Aisy said.
“Yah! God, I don’t know how I could forget that,” Donna said.
“You’re dealing with more than ten staff members. I don’t blame you,” Aisy spoke, wrapping her scarf around her neck and flipped her raven black hair.
“Say hi to Fatima for me,” Donna said.
“Will do,” Aisy spoke, walking out of the kitchen.
A red billboard lit DONNA’S IN & OUT from where Aisy walked out from towards the streets of LA.
Tired of having to work extra hours to provide, Aisy still didn’t give up on herself. She had hoped that everything she ever wanted could be very near. Never giving up was her principle. It didn’t matter to her what background she was from, one day, she would get where she wanted to be.
She opened the door to her two-bedroom apartment and was welcomed by an infant’s cry from her bedroom.
“Am I home?” she said out loud, putting her handbag on the couch. Hellen walked out of her bedroom carrying a 2-month-old baby in her hand. “Hey mom,” Aisy greeted.
“Hey baby,” Hellen responded, trying to give the baby a bottle.
“Uhm… where is Fatima?” Aisy asked, taking off her Demin jacket.
“She went out,” Hellen said.
“What do you mean went out? Mom, you’re sick. She had one job and that was to look after her baby,” Aisy said.
“I was in my room resting and I heard Ian crying and your sister was not in the room,” Hellen explained.
“Are you f*****g kidding right now?” Aisy asked, not believing that her sister could do such a thing. With both her hands on her waist, she paused and looked at Hellen. “…you don’t think she went back?” she asked, not being sure, and Hellen's face showed that she also didn’t know.
Aisy walked past her mom and got into her room. She walked directly to Fatima’s closet and opened it to see, and yes, one of the outfits was missing. That can only mean one thing. Hellen walked in after her, still holding Ian, who was now feeding his bottle.
“What’s wrong?” Hellen asked.
“That b***h went to the club,” Aisy exclaimed unbelievably.
“Oh my God!” Hellen sighed.
Aisy exhaled out loud in a bit of anger. She was tired, tired of her irresponsible sister, who couldn’t even see that their mother was in no condition of taking care of a baby right now.
“I’ll be right back,” Aisy said and took her exit. Hellen stood holding the child hoping that nothing unfortunate would happen there.
Fatima walked to the entrance, passing everyone in the line. She works there. She was in her black leather jam suit. You can never guess that she just had a baby two months ago. What’s the point of being in a line? She got to Matteo, the security guy.
“Hey Fatima,” Matteo said.
“You’re sure it’s him?” Fatima asked, her hands in her jam suit’s pocket.
“He came with some of his friends; I am sure it’s him,” Matteo said.
Fatima crunched angrily
“That guy, the audacity he has coming back here,” Fatima said. As soon as she wanted to walk in, Matteo held her hand. Fatima looked back at him.
“Don’t cause any trouble,” Matteo said. Fatima looked at him unbelievably.
“Trouble? That mother fucker left me pregnant; he told me to raise his f*****g child for him to just block me. He ruined my career in general. You can’t tell me not to cause trouble,” Fatima said.
“Fatima, I know how you feel, that’s why I called you, but you will get me in so much trouble if Masha finds that I am the one who called you about this,” Matteo said.
“Don’t worry, you won’t be mentioned,” Fatima said, removed her hand from Matteo and walked into the club. Matteo watched her walking away, exhaled and turned back to welcome other customers.
“Welcome homey….” He spoke with a smile on his face and continued working.
Five gentlemen sat at a VIP station, having some drinks, just getting their minds off all the stress full week, catching up, having fun, laughing. Being friends since middle school and not even different occupations, distance or anything would stop them from being friends.
“You know, I think it’s a perfect time to discuss Zayne’s wedding,” Kelvin said. Zayne looked down at his drink, smiling.
“Seriously, do you want to discuss my wedding here?” Zayne asked.
“As long as we are the best men, we can talk about this s**t anywhere,” Mark said.
“You know, I still can’t believe that Zayne is getting married, bro,” Justin said, “…. What the f**k did Kristine give you?” he added.
“Good s*x,” Mark said.
“f**k off” Zayne said.
“So, one is planning for divorce and one is getting married,” Kelvin said.
“What does my divorce have to do with this guy’s happiness?” Allan asked.
“He should be scared,” Mark said.
“He loves his woman,” Justin defended.
“And didn't he?” Kelvin asked, talking about Allan.
“It’s a very different situation here. I caught my wife with another man, on my bed, having s*x,” Allan said
“You didn’t give her good s*x, that’s why,” Mark said.
“How did it feel like?” Zayne asked in a low tone. They all looked at him.
“Bad man! I gave her everything….” Allan said.
“Plus, bad s*x,” Mark added.
“Dude!” Justin exclaimed.
“No, I am being very serious. Allan is a motherfucking CEO, he has the money, Ashlee was the most spoiled b***h, and the only reason she can cheat is bad s*x,” Mark said.
“You want to f**k me so bad, don’t you?” Allan asked, making the rest to chuckle.
“Zayne….” Justin called and Zayne turned to him, Kristine is good, you’re going to be happy,” he added.
“I know,” Zayne said and took a sip of his whiskey.
“And we’ll be right behind you. I mean after you, Kelvin might be next,” Mark said.
“Man, you know I am single,” Kelvin said.
“There is no single Kelvin in this entire world, man,” Mark said, leading the rest to laugh a bit.
“You really got some nerves coming back here,” They all looked up and there stood Fatima folding her hand over her chest, looking at Mark.
“Oh s**t!” Mark muttered
“I am sorry, who are you?” Justin asked.
“Are you going to introduce me? Or should I?” Fatima asked, looking at Mark. His friends looked at him
“Dude, you know this girl?” Allan asked.
Mark didn’t say anything, he just looked down, avoiding everybody’s eyes. Fatima exclaimed angrily
“My name is Fatima; I am a stripper here and the mother of this mother fucker’s son,” Fatima said.
“What?” Zayne exclaimed.
Mark looked up to Fatima.
“Fatima….” He called while standing up.
“You blocked me, you told me to raise your mother f*****g son and blocked me,” Fatima complained.
“I was going to call you back,” Mark said, his friends looking at him not believing what was going on, and why would their friend hide that from them?
“When? When your son starts walking?” Fatima asked.
“It’s not like that,” Mark said.
“Explain to me what it is like then?” Fatima asked. “…you better speak up before I embarrass you to all this club. You know me very well,” she added, crunching her teeth angrily.
Mark didn’t know exactly what to say at that time. Kelvin stood up to help Mark.
“Hey Fatima, I am Kelvin,” he introduced.
“So?” Fatima asked
“This is not a good place for all of this,” Kelvin said.
“Well, your friend blocked me. I don’t care what you guy’s reputation is, I am standing on my guard,” Fatima said.
“Can we see the baby?” Allan asked.
“Excuse me?” Fatima asked.
“The baby, can we see him? We’ll take you back to see him and am sure you and Mark can talk all you want there,” Allan added.
You are talking about two CEOs’ of Airlines, Allan and Justin. A plastic surgeon, Mark. A neurosurgeon, Zayne. And a famous movie producer and director, Kelvin. They have to protect their reputation as much as they can.
Fatima looked at them wondering. The main reason she agreed to carry the child, was for money. She couldn’t block him for her to go back to being a stripper.
“I have conditions,” Fatima said.
“Are you f*****g serious?” the voice made them all look at the entrance. Aisy stood looking at her sister. Who can deny the beauty of the lady, how her hair fell off her shoulders, that raven color, the most beautiful face, her body was magic, curved like paid for surgery. Fatima had the big ass that everyone admired, but the curves on Aisy were so hard not to notice. Talking about every guy’s dream girlfriend, just by looking at her.
“Aisy, what are you doing here?” Fatima asked.
“What am I doing? f**k Fatima, you left mom with a two-month-old coming back here,” Aisy asked.
“I didn’t come here to work,” Fatima said.
“And who the f**k is this?” Kelvin asked.
“Who the f**k am I?” Aisy asked back.
“Aisy relax” Fatima said to Aisy.
“You tell your f*****g customers to relax,” Aisy said.
“I am not a f*****g customer,” Kelvin said.
“Aisy, this is Mark, Ian’s dad, and there are his friends, and they just want to go see Ian,” Fatima said.
“Fatima, are you serious?” Aisy asked, looking at her sister unbelievably, ‘…this guy left you; he blocked you. He is not going to come back into your life,” she added.
“Now excuse me!” Zayne spoke standing, “Why would you say that? We didn’t even know that your sister was pregnant. We want to help, that’s all. We promise Mark didn’t mean that,” he added.
“We don’t need your help,” Aisy said.
“Aisy, we do. I need child support for Ian,” Fatima said.
“Fatima, we can figure it out together,” Aisy said.
“No, we can’t, Aisy, can’t you understand? I am a stripper, you’re a waitress in a burger restaurant, we can’t take care of mom and Ian,” Fatima said and looked back to Mark. “…some people have to start taking responsibilities,” she added.
“I heard you, Fatima,” Mark said.
“Can we go now?” Allan asked.
“No,” Aisy said.
“Aisy!” Fatima exclaimed.
“Listen, Fatima, I know that you really want them to see and help, but it's late now. We have to help mom with tomorrow's surgery,” Aisy spoke and looked at Mark, “…. If you really want to see your baby, tomorrow, 3pm” she added.
“I’ll send you the address, so you better unblock me, you mother fucker because if you don’t, I’ll go to the news and don’t say I didn’t warn you,” Fatima spoke.
“Let’s go Fatima” Aisy said pulling her sister away
They all looked at Mark, right after they left.
“The whole pregnancy, really Mark? You didn’t tell us you got a girl pregnant until she gave birth?” Zayne asked.
“With a stripper?” Allan added.
“She has a p***y” Mark said, being obvious.
“And now she is going to want all your money,” Kelvin said.
“Did you guys see the other girl?” Justin asked, looking puzzled excitedly.
“Are you serious right now?” Allan asked.
“Yes, she is marvelous,” Kelvin suggested.
“We are talking about Mark’s baby here. Can you focus?” Zayne said.
“I have to go see him,” Mark said.
“What were you thinking? Don’t they make condoms anymore?” Allan asked.
“Hey, don’t judge me, it’s not like you have never made a mistake,” Mark said.
“That’s not a mistake; that’s a responsibility, Mark" Allan said.
“Yes, so was you marrying Ashlee?” Mark said in anger, and walked out.
“Mark, wait,” Kelvin said out loud, took his phone and ran after him.
“Is he serious?” Allan asked, looking at Justin and Zayne.
“You kind of pissed him off,” Justin said.
“I pissed him off? He got a striper pregnant; he didn’t even tell us about it,” Allan said.
“That’s his personal life, Allan,” Zayne said.
“That’s the problem. We don’t have personal lives. That girl came here thinking we are all like that. We stood up for him, we tell each other everything so that when things go down, we know how to help each other. Mark said to that girl to keep the baby so it’s not like he didn’t know about it. He chose to keep that from us,” Allan said.
“Mark is Mark Allan; he has his flows” Justin said.
“Well f**k that, and I am here talking about how I failed in my marriage don’t you think I feel stupid and lame?” Allan asked in anger, looking at them, “…. f**k Mark’s flow, if we are having personal lives, let it be,” he added, took his jacket on the couch and phone and walked away
“I’ll go after him,” Justin said.
“Sure, call me if anything happens,” Zayne said.
Justin walked away from there, a lot of things were running through Zayne’s mind, his wedding was coming up now, Mark and the baby, this didn’t have to reach even their parents, especially because he had just got attracted to another girl.
He exhaled, hoping it all would go away, all of it.
