I hurried toward the council house which was adjacent to the pack house fighting against my wolf. Yke was demanding control but I knew that if I let him, we wouldn't manage to get to the council house. I was fighting against myself wondering whether I had made the right choice letting Blossom go on her own. Maybe I was being reckless by following orders but I had to. I still couldn't understand how we had come to this but now we were in the middle of it all, divided, unfocused, and not ready for anything. We had spent so many years of peace that we had not given thought to something like this. But then, who would have known that the witches were planning to wipe us out?
