Chapter Nine The moment I stepped back into my own temple, I felt rejuvenated. Some of the gods liked to pretend that the magic of believers worked no matter their distance from them, but I didn't. Being around the people who served as my priestesses and servants refreshed me. My magic hadn't grown significantly weaker in my time away, but that was to be expected when I was lucky enough to have people all over the world still know my name.
