I was swimming in confusion, first Asher and now Atlas. What had gotten into these two? One had a girlfriend and the other was cold, at least that is what I perceived from them. We stood there for a bit, it felt as if we were frozen in time with this embrace. I could hear his heartbeat, a soothing sound that comforted me. The moment was ruined when my stomach growled. The beast hadn't been fed since yesterday, surviving only with my tea. Boy, I needed to take better care of myself. I could feel the vibrations of Atlas trying to laugh inwardly as my stomach continued to voice its frustration with hunger. Loosening his hold on me to view me from his height. I met his gaze, looking up at him. I felt unbelievably safe. His smile was intoxicating, bringing me to blush. "How bout we get some brunch?" he asked in a warm low voice. I could just melt like a snowman in summer looking at him. "Sure" I responded sheepishly. As he slipped away from my room, it was as if he was in a mystical trance, moving with a fluid grace that was almost hypnotic. I watched him go, feeling a sense of unease as I knew that the Alphas were becoming increasingly reckless. Atlas and I made our way to the dining hall, scanning the area for any signs of Beta Colton. Finally, I spotted him in the distance, moving with a quick, furtive energy that suggested he was up to no good. I left Atlas to continue on his own and motioned to Beta Colton to meet me in a corner for a semi-private discussion. As he approached, a sly grin spread across his face, making him look like a kid who had just gotten away with stealing cookies from the cookie jar. I couldn't help but feel a sense of frustration at his cavalier attitude, knowing that the situation with the Alphas was becoming increasingly dangerous. I explained to Beta Colton that their roaming habits were putting my room at risk and asked if he could try to keep them within their designated areas to prevent them from passing through my room during their patrols. He listened intently, nodding his head at all the right moments, and I could tell that he understood the gravity of the situation. As we parted ways, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held for us all. With the Alphas becoming more and more unpredictable, it seemed like only a matter of time before something catastrophic happened. But for now, all I could do was hope that Beta Colton would keep his promise and keep them in check. I knew if Beta Colton couldn't get a handle on the Alphas, I would have no choice but to bring this up with Former Alpha Alfred and Luna Nadine. At least then I knew those two would wrangle in their sons. After that, what felt like a waste of time, I strolled into the dining hall. Atlas had already taken his seat. To his left were Asher and Farrah. The right of him was free, but I sat at the fourth free chair. Both Atlas and Asher frowned at my choice of seats. Asher took it upon himself (in front of his girlfriend), walked to me, picked up me with my chair, and placed me between him and Atlas. Farrah was fuming. It was amusing to watch her pout as a child, cause the Alphas showed a bit more affection to me than her. The kitchen helpers were bringing tray after tray of yummy foods for brunch. With the smells of food wafting throughout the main floor, more people started to flood into the dining hall. I knew exactly what I wanted. Eggs, fruit, salmon, milk, and cheese. The proper healthy combo for fuel food. I still needed to go to the store for snacks for my afternoon practices. I was surprised to see Alpha Oliver hadn't returned home yet. Was he brought here by former Alpha Tobias to 'babysit' his sons? It was an amusing thought. Alpha Oliver sat on the right of Atlas smiling kindly at me. I had three Alphas watch me eat my proportioned plate, which was extremely uncomfortable. If I finish quickly, I can leave this unsettling atmosphere, I thought. As I sat down to enjoy my meal, I couldn't help but notice that my plate was empty while others were still piling food onto their plates. I felt a sense of excitement, knowing that I could leave soon and get on with my day. "That's all you're eating, darlin'?" Jonathan asked with a smile. I felt a bit embarrassed as I replied, "I have to watch my calorie intake. I just need to eat Fuel Food." I tried to hide my blush as I explained my need to maintain a healthy diet. Asher and Farrah begged me to stay and socialize with everyone, but I had to decline. "I can't, sorry. I have to start on my entrance essays for college," I apologized. Suddenly, an idea popped into my head. "Oh! Can I borrow the car?" I asked the twins. They looked at me wide-eyed, and asked, "Why? For what?" I explained to them that since they agreed to open the track field, I was going to stock up on snacks and sports drinks for my workouts. "I need to make sure I'm properly hydrated in the summer when working out outside," I added. Farrah's eyes lit up as she said, "Oh! We can make it a fun shopping trip!!! The mall first, then groceries." I was surprised at her suggestion, but I couldn't deny that it sounded like a lot of fun. "Huh, she activated her few brain cells to put that together," I thought to myself with a smile. "Fine, we will leave after brunch." Decided Atlas. "You'll come too? Right Alpha Oliver." Farrah said with a flirtatious smile. "sure why not, we can pick up decorations for the birthday party." Oliver added.
