It had been a week since Alina came to pink Palace. I made quite a progress. We met everyday and she taught me how to read and we talked. She told me about politics, economy and latest inventions. She has to be one of smartest woman I have ever met. She was a good teacher. Though a bit low on patience. Moreover, this is the most fun I have had since coming to pink Palace. Being with her is easy. I want to spend more and more time with her. She treats me as an equal. My whole this is most alive I have felt. "do you love him?" she asked one day. I was surprised. "I respect him more than anyone." I replied.
"but do you love him" I didn't know what to say,so I didn't. She dropped the topic and we read five books five topics in a week.

I got comfortable to life in pink Palace. This is not what I wanted. But being with Renee felt different. She respected me and did not think of me as a trophy wife to emperor. I felt like a real person with her. It was a warm day so we went for a stroll near the fountain. That is where I saw Ram the son of the emperor. He was practicing sword fighting with his mom. "that is wrong" I said without thinking. All heads including queen Meena turned towards me. "Excuse me?" she asked. "this is not the write way, he is holding it wrong, he will lose without starting." like you are the expert on swords fighting. "
" I actually am very good at swords fighting. I have been trained since I was ten " I smirked. She stood silently. Ram was just five. He came to me and handed me the sword. I told him how to hold it and taught him a few moves. Everyone in palace seemed intimidated and afraid.
" it's been long time without sparing. Would you like to have a match" I heard a voice. It was the emperor.
