Lucy and I were busy playing Go Fish over Lucas so that he could feel our continuous touching and hear our voices. Abe the guard in the room’s eyes went milky.
“What is it, Abe?” I asked as his eyes cleared and his face paled.
He came to me and leaned down to whisper in my ear.
“Lucy, no wolf ears.” I instructed her.
She frowned but stuck her fingers in her ears and started humming,
“Luna, Boone has information that the Alpha is in danger. They want to poison him again.”
