Maddie's POV
The more I wrote the exams each day of this week, the more I became comfortable. Jake would also look over at me and smile in the exam class. He was the only person who was friendly to me and wanted to be friends where everyone else was in their own bubbles or just didn't look my way, not that I needed that attention. It was three days, and Mariko had called me that he was still worried. I still had that feeling that someone was watching me. Jake would be walking next to me while the guards would walk just behind us and I still got that feeling.
I had scanned the area around me but even though students were walking around on campus, there was no one that looked my way...or that I could see. I just didn't tell Mariko because I didn't want him to worry, and I was in safe hands
