Maddie's POV
I got home from the hospital feeling exhausted. I could hear Bella laugh and that put a smile on my face. I placed my bag on the recliner and walked down the hallway, placing my hand on my belly. The cramps had subsided, and I only needed to be calm. It was terrible, and I thought that I was going to lose them the way that it felt.
When I stood in the doorway to Bella's bedroom, Miranda was sitting beside her as she held a book in her hand, reading a story to Bella. Rosie had gone home already, "Maddie!" Bella exclaimed, happy to see me.
I entered the bedroom. "I was just reading a story. She ate, and I gave her medication," Miranda said as I sat beside Bella on the bed.
