Chapter 23 Roman POV* We finished lunch in a small bubble of bliss. Looking at Arden and being able to feel her happiness was nearly enough to block out the knowledge of the rouges that had been in the area. After paying for our meal and saying goodbye to Arden’s friends, we both steeled ourselves to head outside and face reality. Arden was busy checking her phone for updates on where her pack was, and I had spent the last five minutes walking around the parking lot, trying to pick up any indication of the wolves that had been sighted by the humans in the area.
