HEKO LED AKSHARA INTO his mother’s small house. Hesa was overjoyed to see Akshara and welcomed her with open arms. It had been a long time since Akshara had seen Hesa. She looked older now and had a few lines on her face. But she was no less beautiful than Akshara had remembered. Hesa’s hair had turned the same silver as Akshara’s. “I love your new hair color,” Akshara said. Heko laughed and stuffed a piece of bread into his mouth. “You two could be twins now,” he said. “Heko!” Hesa admonished. “Akshara is still a beautiful young woman.
