Chapter 31
Since it was just the four of us, we ate in the informal dining room. I sat at the head of the table with Mindy on my right and Geoff on my left. Hyde sat at the bottom, but in reality he wasn’t more than six feet away from me.
“Do you need help cutting your lamb chops, Kipp?”
“I can do it for him, Wynd—” Geoff flinched as I kicked his ankle under the table, and he changed what he’d been about to say. “Hyde.”
“Thank you both, but I think I can manage.” Truthfully, it was even more awkward than trying to tie my tie, but I wasn’t having my fiancé and my brother getting into a pissing contest over who would cut my meat for me.
“If you need any help?”
