My entire team, minus a few guards at the school, were waiting in the conference room as Teixeira and his men entered promptly at four o’clock. The big man looked stressed as he took the podium and began speaking. “This situation is quickly getting out of hand. My advice is that you should all return to the United States before any of you are hurt or killed. We are taking on more than a few missing street children here and things are only going to get worse. This is not your fight and we appreciate your efforts so far.” There was stunned silence in the room as I approached the podium. “May I?” I indicated the microphone.
