Emmy and the Boy Who Cried Dragon
Once upon a time, in the magical village of Glimmerwood, there lived a kind - hearted girl named Emmy. Emmy had curly golden hair, bright blue eyes, and a smile that could light up even the darkest corners of the Enchanted Forest. She loved playing with her friends, and together, they embarked on many exciting adventures.
One of Emmy’s friends was a boy named Finn. Finn had a wild imagination and often told fantastical stories that were hard to believe. One sunny afternoon, as they played near the Whispering Willow, Finn ran up to Emmy and their friends, shouting, “A dragon! A dragon! There’s a dragon in the forest!”
Emmy and the others gasped, but when they followed Finn to the forest, there was no dragon to be found. Finn laughed, admitting he had made the whole thing up. The friends were disappointed but decided to let it go. However, Finn continued to cry “dragon” several more times, each time laughing when his friends discovered it was a lie.
Days later, as Emy and her friends were picking berries by the Silver Stream, Finn came running again, shouting, “Dragon! There’s a dragon, and it’s real this time!” But his friends just shook their heads, ignoring his cries.
“But I’m telling the truth!” Finn insisted, his eyes wide with fear. Emmy paused, seeing the genuine terror in Finn’s eyes. “What if he’s really telling the truth this time?” she thought.
Emmy decided to trust Finn one last time. She gathered her friends, and they cautiously followed Finn into the forest. To their astonishment, there was indeed a dragon, but it wasn’t a fearsome beast. It was a small, lost dragon, whimpering and tangled in a net.
The children worked together to free the dragon, and it gratefully spread its wings, shimmering with colors of the rainbow. As it soared into the sky, the dragon breathed out a puff of glittering smoke, leaving behind a trail of sparkling dust.
From that day on, Finn realized the importance of honesty. He learned that lying had made it hard for his friends to trust him, even when he was telling the truth. Emmy and the others forgave Finn, and together, they promised to always be truthful with one another.
And so, in the village of Glimmerwood, the children learned that trust is a precious thing, not to be taken lightly. And they all lived happily ever after, with Emmy leading them on many more wonderful adventures —always with honesty and trust in their hearts.
