One Night Stand
Chapter 1
I woke up, eyes watering. My head was hazy, and I could not comprehend what had happened to me. Shaking my head, I sat up. I was in a hospital.
I could not remember what had happened, so I lay flat on my back and closed my eyes. While my eyes were closed, I heard footsteps coming in my direction. Pretending that I was still unconscious, I held my breath.
"She's bitten."
"What? She's a new wolf?"
"Our alpha slept with her."
"What? Damien... He slept with her?"
A long pause between the two conversations.
"Yes. Then he bit her."
"Oh. Should we kill her?"
Another long pause. Someone sighed.
"We can't. Damien has his eye on her."
There was complete silence outside the room.
"I'm supposed to be his Luna. I'm not letting her get him."
They suddenly stopped talking. There were more footsteps headed toward them.
"Damien's here. Let's get out of here."
More footsteps and both of them disappeared quickly.
I lay still on my back, pretending to be unconscious. I caught the scent of a male approaching the hospital bed.
The man stood next to me. He examined my neck. I held my breath and regained composure.
"I see. You are now a werewolf. I hope you will get better soon."
After that, he left promptly.

It was Friday night, and my ladies and I were like, let's hit the club to have fun. I was a little drunk, so I decided to dance with a hot guy when I took the vodka.
Even though I was only half drunk, I could tell he was a hot man. Dark, mysterious, clear blue eyes, with a sharp jaw, he was breathtaking. I continued dancing, and it felt great when the both of us were in the spotlight. We danced all night, and he whispered into my ear.
"Let's move this to the next level."
Half drunk, half sober, I agreed. He dragged me to the hotel. Still kissing, he pulled me right into the room. We kissed, and the man gently tugged off my shirt.
It was sensual, and I was aroused immediately. I had never slept with anyone in the club before, although I went clubbing almost every week. I was sober now, but I still wanted the stranger badly. He took off his shirt, and as I laid eyes on his rippling muscles, I knew I would never forget this night. He drew me on a wet kiss, and I didn't know if I was falling in love or feeling a pang of lust. Either way, things were going way too well.
"I'm Damien." He whispered into my ear.
"Oh, this feels so good," I moaned in pleasure.
"I'm making you my Luna."
"What?"
We made love for ten minutes; then suddenly, he bit me. I screamed, and everything started to spin. I wondered if he drugged me. My head turned, and I was immediately knocked out. After that, I could hear the man slowly leaving.
The following day, I heard someone call the hospital.
"She's out cold. Something's wrong with her."
"What do you mean?"
"She's in a coma."
"She came in with a man last night."
"Has she been drugged?"
"Can we just send her to the hospital?"
"Yes. That's what I said ten minutes ago."
I could hear the siren as someone lifted my lifeless body off the bed and took me to the hospital. Unable to open my eyes, I knew something was wrong, but I could not wake up. Still half unconscious, I heard the people from the hotel screaming and the people flocking around me. I passed out. All was dead to me.

I opened my eyes slowly, trying to recap what had happened to me. I was finally fully awake. My vision was sharper, and I could smell and hear better.
A wolf. Werewolf. I didn't think that these still existed in modern society. I read stories of vampires and werewolves when I was young, but I never imagined that they would still be around in the 21st century. I tried to clear my mind. I decided to give myself a self-talk never to go clubbing again, even with my close friends. However, I didn't think that after what happened, our group would ever go clubbing again. So much for the vodka drinks. I could hear everything in the room, and my six senses seemed amplified.
After ten minutes of lying on my back, I got off the hospital bed. I felt great. I noticed that someone had left a piece of chocolate on the table. I picked up the chocolate and tore off the wrapping. I put the chocolate into my mouth, which tasted rich and creamy. It was as if I could feel every single ingredient in the chocolate. I swallowed. After wiping my mouth, I went out to see the sunlight. It was bright, and the air felt crisp and fresh. It was as if I was reborn again.
A brand new start. I was looking forward to tomorrow. I knew that my life would be different from today onwards, but I knew that I would have even more challenges now that I was a wolf.
Deciding the first thing to do was to hide, I quickly left the hospital and returned home.

Sitting in the taxi, trying to avoid the bright sunlight, I felt that I needed to move away before the other wolves came after me again. If what I heard in the hospital was true, I was a murder target. Not wanting to attract too much attention, the minute I landed in my campus hostel, I quietly packed and left. However, I did not know that wolves could track me by scent.
I was now on a different campus and had moved from one college to another. Hoping that the wolves would not come and kill me, I silently prayed as I finished my Economics class. My brain seemed sharper too, so my grades went up. A bit pleased that at least being a wolf had some benefits, I smiled silently at the back of my head.
I felt a chill of dread went I exited the classroom. I turned and saw a silhouette standing in the building. s**t. It was the man at the club. I felt my hands grow cold. He was back. For me. Time to run.
