Chapter 2. Save My Wife

Kings Club.

It only took a few minutes for Kelvin to be brought to up to speed about the situation at his wife's company and her whereabouts.

As one of the most prestigious and luxurious clubs, only the wealthy and powerful frequented it. Kelvin had a fair idea about what was going to happen when Selina goes inside so he decided to follow her. He walked past the disdainful looks of the security gaurds into the club. He stopped only when he saw Selina.

''Is it not resolved yet?''

'' No, president Smith. After asking them, Drangonfly company, only says they don't have enough materials to supply us with. that they will replenish their stock next month.'' Xty, Selina's secretary replied, '' When the time comes we will be bankrupt. ''

''Lets go in.''

''After three invitations, you finally accept the dinner.'' a young man in suit come out of the private room to greet Selina and Xty at the door, '' our boss is wait for you inside. ''

'' Zhang Yu, don't talk in that sarcastic tone. I've investigated and your company doesn't lack materials.Don't forget the contract you signed with my company is still in my hands.'' Selina said with an icy tone.

'' My boss said he is ready to pay compensation for the breach of contract. But I wonder if ours or Visionary company will be higher.'' Zhang Yu retorted. He then led them into the private room.

Visionary company is one of the biggest real estate company in Petronia city, Selina had worked hard to earn the cooperation and if she breaches the contract now, she wont be able to bear the consequences.

In the private room.

The would room was dimly lit and had an ambiguous atmosphere. Grace could barely see anything. She spotted Walter Aikins, the CEO of dragonfly company, sitting at the inner part of the room relaxed.

''President Aikins how much do you want to continue our cooperation. '' Grace asked straight forward.

'' Haha, president Smith is straight forward. But I don't want your money. I just want you to spend the night with me. And I'll even provide you with the materials for free. I've already talked to other companies and they claim they don't have your needs in stock.''

Selina was shocked as she was sure everyone knew she was pregnant. '' Mr. Walter Aikins! please respect yourself. I'm sorry but even if my company goes bankrupt, I'll never do that besides I'm pregnant. '' She angrily said as she got up to leave.

''What ate you doing?'' Xty asked.

Walter's men were blocking the door. They looked fierce, grinning from ear to ear as they looked at the two women.

'' This isn't your home for you to be coming and going as you deem fit. These guys I hired are the best thugs in the district and don't care about the law. So be a good girl and sit down. '' Walter stated as he was happy with their reaction.

Selina and Xty were so frightened they didn't know what to do.

Walter patted his lap indicating for them to sit.

Boom, the door to the private room was bust open as Kelvin strolled in. He look annoyed rather than angry or scared. Everyone in the room was shocked to see him and didnt come to their senses for some time. He strolled in leisurely and sat down. Picked up the wine on the table and sipped slowly.

'Is he still in the mood to drink. As expected of a useless man. He didnt come to help me but to get into trouble. ' Selina thought.

'' Boy, who the f**k are you?'' Walter asked as he recovered from the shock. '' Who do you think you are to drink my wine. Hurry, drag him out and beat him.''

It was only at this moment that the thugs came to their senses. They rushed forward but were stopped by Kelvin as he held his hand up to them.

'' I'm here for to discuss the terms of the contract you signed with my wife. Whoever moves would have to answer to that.'' Kelvin pointed at a red dot pointed at the forehead of Walter Aikins.

Everyone was so scared that they some even peed themselves. They were just street thugs who wanted to earn a quick buck but didn't expect to come into contact with a sniper. Some even fainted on the spot.

Selina couldn't figure out how here useless husband got a sniper to aid him. But the way he was handling the situation warmed her heart. She felt a fuzzy sensation in her stomach. She glanced at her secretary who was eyed wide and mouth agap fro. the shock. 'this is my husband ' she thought.

Walter still couldn't move as the red dot was still pointing at him. He had heard that Selina's husband was a good for nothing but he had a sniper at his service.

Kelvin looked at Walter calmly, his gaze serene that made the latter's heart race.

'Didn't hey say that the Smith family's son-in-law was a useless piece of trash. Then how did become so capable.

''Mr. Aikins, I'm still waiting for your reply,'' Kelvin said calmly. ''Do you still want to continue or should I? ''

Five minutes later, Kelvin, Selina and Xty walked out of the room.

Looking at their backs, Walter felt a deep fear for Kelvin. He didn't know that his clothes were soaking wet. He called Zhang Yu over and told him to take care of the company as he suddenly wants to spend more time with his family.

At home, Selina and Kelvin went into their respective rooms. After thinking about what happened tonight, Selina couldn't decide whether to ask Kelvin. She tossed and turned all night but still couldn't sleep.

''Kelvin?'' she knocked on his door.

'' Its open'' a reply came.

She couldn't help but be amazed at how kept the room was and the many books on the shelf about self-help, self-improvements and others.

'' I wanted to thank you for what you did tonight. Even though I'm pregnant, that monster still wanted to sleep with me.''

'' You're welcome.'' Kelvin replied as he looked at the woman before him, who was carrying his child.'' I know I may not be the ideal husband you wanted but I promise you that I would improve myself to become worthy of you.'' He said as he moved closer to Selina to look straight into her eyes when he said this.

''I'll be looking forward to this.'' Selina replied. '' In fact my mom isn't that bad of a person. She just doesn't like you especially after you know?'' she placed her hand on her stomach.
