"Why isn't Max here?" asked Adalyn.
"I don't know" I said as I looked through the menu, it was kind of funny that I always read the menu every time I came to my favourite cafe.
I ordered the same thing every time but still felt the need to skim through the pages of various sandwiches and burgers.
"Oh, he texted me earlier saying that he was going to be late" said Bella "I was meant to tell you guys but I forget"
"Bella!" Adalyn and I exclaimed in unison.
The waitress then came over and we placed our orders, we also ordered for Max who was hopefully arriving soon.
"Hey, I'm sorry" she said defensively as she twirled a piece of her blond hair around her finger "I’ve had a lot on my mind lately"
