*** Valerian Ace King***
Everything in my head seemed to stop as I heard her melodic laugh bubbling through the room. Her laugh was the most angelic sound I have ever heard.
"Wow, I don't think I have ever seen him run that fast." She laughed.
"You know him?" I asked her.
"I knew him." She answered genuinely for the first time tonight. I nodded.
"So are you not going to tell me why you were stalking me earlier?" She asked.
I swear I have never been with a stranger who was brave enough to not be afraid of me. Aidan was right about her may be working for O'Neilie, but one question remained: How come I had never seen her before yesterday?
"Take a picture, and it might last longer," she said.
"I already did." I deadpanned.
"Dickhead." she mumbled.
"Excuse me?" I asked her and she smirked.
"Well, this has been interesting but I had better get a move on and also I would appreciate it if you would stop stalking me." She said and was about to stand, but Rosie arrived with boatloads of food.
"Leaving?" she asked in her soft tone that she used to blackmail me most of the times. The girl's eyes went from me to Rosie before she huffed a breath and sat back down. Guess she was a sucker as I was for Rosie's tricks. How does she know one of the most important people in my life?
***AN HOUR LATER***
We were still sitting in a booth that Rosie had placed us in, and I noticed her letting go a bit. Just a little bit. I glanced at Rosie, and she waved me off. A smile tugged the corner of my lips. She had given her Irish coffee. I smiled at her.
"She needed to let loose a bit." She winked at us.
"You the only one I'd ever let to pull a stunt like that." Ms. Smith said. Rosie left us alone once more. From a distance you would say we looked like old friends catching up but it was the total opposite.
"I could kill you if you are not careful with your words." I threatened her. She burst out in a fit of laughter.
"Oh I am scared." she sarcastically remarked.
"Oh s**t it's almost midnight. I have work in the morning. I should get going." She said as she stood to leave. She stumbled a bit before she stood straight again. She wasn't drunk, but she wasn't sober either.
"I'll take you home." I said as I walked out, and she trailed behind me.
"No you just threatened to kill me so excuse my trust issues." she sassed.
"So you are afraid of me?" I asked her.
"No should I be?" she subtly lost her balance and leaned on my chest as we were both standing now.
"As much as I would hate to even think about this, you have to let me take you home. Rosie would kill me if something were to happen to you." I said.
"Are you sure that you are not so desperately trying to find out where I live so you can kill me in private."
She was smart even when she was tipsy.
"I am impressed." I smirked at her not even trying to hide the evil glint in my eye.
"Dickhead." she said before walking out of the restaurant and I noticed her friends were already gone.
Rosie glared at me from behind the counter.
"You better take her home young man." She scolded.
I sighed before rushing towards her and picking her up and throwing her into the passenger seat.
"Ahh you big wuss!" She exclaimed and I shut the door and walked around to the drivers seat.
She glared at me and her expression made me laugh. It had been a while since I had done that.
"Honestly I don't wanna hear it little bunny." I said.
" I hate bunnies." She sternly said. I could tell she was a powerful woman but something else pulled me towards her.
"Dickhead." She said again as she slammed the door shut before walking into her house gates. I laughed at her reaction. She pulled her middle finger once she reached her porch.
"Well, I have never heard you laugh that much before," Aidan said through the earpiece I wore tonight.
"She is definitely a little bunny." I smirked.
