Two hours flew by. At one point, Larry glanced at his watch and was surprised to see it’d grown so late. He didn’t think the opening act had performed all that long, and it didn’t seem like Geo had been on the stage for more than a few minutes, really. Larry could listen to the man sing all night long. But the face on the big screens shined with sweat, and even if Geo still looked like the same boy Larry once knew, there was no denying that the time they’d spent apart had aged them both. Geo was obviously wearing down after the performance he’d put on, and Larry felt exhausted simply from listening to the show—and dancing like a fool, and singing along with the songs, and screaming at the top of his lungs. In the morning, he was going to feel hungover, he knew it, and all he’d had to drink
