Chapter 14 Then After the show at the Ratt, Doug never did forgive Geoff for locking him out of his own van. Even when Geoff claimed it’d only been a joke, Doug couldn’t quite laugh it off. Later that evening, while lying in the dark on one side of the attic room he shared with Larry, he muttered, “It wasn’t even all that funny. At least, I didn’t think so.” Alone in his own bed, Larry had to admit he hadn’t thought so, either. Then again, Doug’s trying to spook them when all they had wanted was a little time alone hadn’t exactly been a laugh, either. Why couldn’t he have left them alone?
