On the days Dominic didn’t have meetings in the office, he sometimes worked from home.
From his “castle”, as Lila had called it. A corner of his mouth ticked up at the fond memory, because it was a fond one, even if it was triggered by such a traumatic event.
After the chaos of waking up in the middle of the night last night to go get Lila, Dominic was relieved no meetings were scheduled for today. Grateful that he could work from the comfort of his “castle”.
The day had started with taking Aria, Emma, and Lila to school. Since Nova didn’t have anyone to drop off at Side-by-Side, she took the bus straight to Alpha House. Dominic was surprised by how much he missed having her in the car with him on the way back from dropping the girls off at school.
