Dominic couldn’t believe it. He wanted nothing more than to prove Aaron’s accusation wrong. Aaron didn’t even know that Aria was biologically Nova’s, which only made her motivation to take Aria from him stronger.
But here was Nova, bringing up the girls.
And their roles in their lives.
She’d brought up Dominic’s relationship with Lila, too, as if he would fall for the distraction. As if he would be blind enough not to realize it was all a show to get at what she really wanted: taking Aria away from him.
Nova reeled back at Dominic’s reaction. He was glad for it. He wanted her to remember who she was attempting to mess with.
“I—I don’t know,” she sputtered. “I hadn’t exactly thought of anything specific. I guess I was just hoping we could talk about it.”
