ELENA’s POV
“She has a lover, she said that to me.”
Is this guy serious right now?
“That should be my story to tell, not yours,” I snapped. I wasn’t in the mood.
“Well, that makes it more interesting.” Zeus gave me a slow smile. “I don’t mind fighting over this beautiful lady in front of me.”
I let out a dry laugh. “May the best man win.”
Okay, that came out before I thought it through. It was a joke, well, kind of.
Zeus grinned wider, stood up, said goodnight, and walked off. Now, it was just me and Ethan.
“You know, for someone who has a love interest, you sure know how to flirt. You do agree with me on that?”
“And for someone who’s getting married soon, you sure have plenty of time to sneak around and eavesdrop on people’s conversations. That was low, even for an Alpha.”
