Phoenix Chaos

A beautiful blue and purple phoenix flamed into the alleyway as she fled from the Omas guards who were to bring her back as she hadn't been dismissed. She dove behind a midnight blue dumpster and shifted into a thin, starved beauty with deep blue and purple hair. her eyes were an ocean blue with white pupils. She had been born blind and deaf but science had given her both back. She had black cochlear implants and a skin tone band that was woven into her hairline to blend in with her face. this band had restored her eye sight when she was a few months old. Now she was 12 years old and a constant runaway from her adoptive parents because they starved her, beat her and chained her in the basement of their 4 story house in the senatorial circle of the Palace. She refused to do Serenity's laundry and fetch her favorite midnight snacks from the store. She was her sister and not her maid although Celine Omas would say otherwise. She hated it there. Her head sucked as she heard a dog snuffle closer to her alleyway. Both of the guards were wolves and assholes. They loved to add to her pain by beating her with their batons and belts. She was grateful to her phoenix every time she shifted or regeneration from a death because she lost the scars and cuts as well as the bruises and broken bones. Akeera or Keera to some of her friends, silently laughed as two wolves passed her and kept going. She moved silently out of the alleyway and darted towards her school. "Oomph!" Keera smacked into the brick wall next her as someone slammed into her side and knocked her down. A hand wrapped around her throat and lifted her off the ground. "Thought you were sneaky, leaving out the basement doors and slipping away as a bird?" Celine snarled into her ear, making Keera squeak. "I have you now and I am taking you to that school and leaving you there permanently, court ordered or not. you are a selfish b***h and you don't deserve to have a family or life outside of that school." Keera struggled to breathe as she was thrown into the back seat of the limousine and released causing her to slam her head against the other door. A guard shoved her into the seat across from him and put an anklet with a chain attached to floor on her ankle. She hissed at him and was slapped across her face so hard, her eyesight went black for a couple of seconds. This only made her hiss at him again because of the pain and blood. Celine slapped her again and Keera lunged for her. She had had enough with them beating her. Her hands flamed up, but the wolf across from her did a partial shift and bit her. "f**k you assholes and Queen b***h," she snarled and slid down the seat as far as her chain would let her. The wolf next to the one who bit her, grabbed her hands and blew out her flame. He handed her a towel and made her clean her face and hands. She couldn't wait to be free of these people as soon as the Child Services Case Worker could finish the investigation. She knew she would be free because her respite family were planning on taking the Omas family to court for full custody. Next thing, Akeera knew she was being unchained and thrown out of the limousine by the nicer wolf guard. mind you, the vehicle was still moving when it happened so Keera rolled and slid across the pavement. She slammed into the metal gates of her boarding school and heard an awful lot of yelling, screaming and shouting as a bunch of highly polished boots filled her sight. She groaned as she pushes herself up and grabbed her head. her eye sight kept going in and out and her head hurt. She whimpered when someone reached out to her from behind. "You asshole, don't touch her!" A familiar male voice roared at whoever had touched her. "Alex is going to flay you for supper. She is his mate!" Alex was her best friend and they went to the same Academy boarding school. He knew they were mates even though she wouldn't sense that for a few more years. He was 16 and she was 12. His family were Dragons and she was a phoenix. They were part of a reverse Harem. His mother was a normal red and gold phoenix while Akeera was a royal blue and purple phoenix. "Keera, Celine attacked you again. How far did you make it before they got to you this time?" "I was about 15 minutes away from here on foot and a 5 minute drive away. She was pissed and is terminating my visitations to them for vacations. I hate them and I never want to go back. I know I am not old enough to tell the judge that but I cannot keep going to the police. They take all the photos and take hours documenting everything only to tell me to stop running away from them. they don't understand the pain I go through!!!" "They are correct in what they do and say, Keera. I also know Celine tried to kill you yesterday again which makes it the 15th time in the three weeks you tolerated there. I am thoroughly impressed with your patience and stamina against the awful abuse you go through. Dad had security spiders sent into the house so we could get videos. Serenity stomped on 37 of them but we kept sending them. we would send in 5 at a time to monitor you and your health. One to watch your medical, one to video the living room, basement, kitchen and hallways, one to monitor Celine, one to monitor Serenity and the last one to watch Cal. I swear you were in more danger from the basement and Celine than anywhere or anyone else. Serenity liked to try and poison you but Celine threw you like a javelin down those stairs from each floor after you broke the vase when she shoved you out of the bathroom over you wanting to shower. Do they let you bathe in warm water? the basement doesn't have a hot water heater so your shower down there must be only cold water." Cameron, shut up!" Merlin came running down the driveway. "Madam Piney approved Akeera's return to school this morning and called the police to go get her. they must have caught wind and beat her again so she couldn't be seen or heard when a child welfare check was being down at what address. I know they monitor police activity so they could hide her." Merlin reached down towards her and gently nudged her so she was laying back down. He rolled her off her broken ribs and pelvis so he could put a backboard under her with the help of two of the schools medical staff. " Merlin, I am okay! I don't want to go to medical again only to have them bring the police in again!" Keera cried out as he opened a package of insta cast and pulled her left wrist towards him. She knew it was broken and he was doing what he was trained to do but she also knew the cops would be back in about a hour give or take. "Merlin, do you have a protein bar with you? I am hungry. They didn't feed me again in three days and only allowed me water. I am cold too but that is probably because of the pain and bleeding." Merlin pulled a Luna bar out of his pouch and ripped the package open before putting it in her newly casted wrist. "Alex is going to kill them for this, Keera. He really will and his parents will help. He is pissed she choked you and let those guards hit you. I am sorry to say I am glad they killed you yesterday so that your phoenix healed all those welts, cuts, and scars. That was awful to watch when she all but hung you from the basement ceiling and proceeded to chain you to the floor as the guards flayed you alive until you bled to death. Never do I want to see that again. I had nightmares from it and I can only imagine the pain you were in from them. I am glad you came back to us today because of what she was planning with the guards last night. She was going to give you to the guard who beat you as a s*x slave. Alex blew his top off after he was informed of it. He was supposed to go on duty today by their house but he fired the manager who scheduled him for that spot knowing there was a conflict of interest."
