She changed her name. She didn’t change her mission.

Hazel Ampson died the night her sister was murdered.

Now she’s Ria Hunter- a nobody scholarship student at Arton’s High, the most elite, corrupt, and dangerous school in Greenville.

Arton High hides monsters behind blazers and crowns.

The student are predators. The teachers are bought.

And the killer who got away with her sister’s murder?

He’s walking these halls.

Ria’s plan is simple: Blend in. Find him. Make him pay.

But Arton has other plans for her.

One red bucket of paint. One viral fight.

And suddenly she’s on every predator’s radar.

Especially his.

Damian Vex. King of Arton. Cold. Ruthless.

The boy who watches everything and feels nothing.

He doesn’t laugh when paint hits her.

He doesn’t look away when she bleeds.

He just…watches. Like she’s a problem he hasn’t solved yet.

Someone knows who she really is.

Someone writes on the mirror:

I KNOW YOU, HAZEL.”

Someone was there that night.

As bodies pile up and secrets bleed, Ria will have to choose:

Trust the devil who’s studying her…

Or become the monster herself to catch the one who started it all.

In Arton’s High revenge isn’t Justice.

It’s survival.

And red isn’t just a color.

It’s a warning.

Chapter 1: Red X
I didn’t look where I was going. Because I was staring at him. Cold eyes. Black uniform. Blood under his nails. No one holds Damian Vex stare. I did. Someone stepped in front of me. “Who’s she?” “New prey,” a girl giggled. Then the bucket tipped. Cold. Red. Soaking me to the bone. Paint. “Smile for the camera, Ria Hunter.” She sang. Phones came out. The hallway exploded with laughter. My vision went red. I grabbed her collar. Drove her to the ground. One punch. Then another. She screamed under me. “STOP. NOW.” A teacher. Bell ringing. I stood up, dripping red. And that’s when I saw him. Damian Vex. Leaning against the wall. Smiling like this was his favorite show. Our eyes met. He didn’t help. He didn’t laugh. He just watched. The office was a joke. “You attacked first. Scholarship kids should be grateful to be here.” “1pm for your punishment.” I didn’t answer. Arton’s teachers were as rotten as it’s students. I walked to the bathroom. Alone. The mirror was fogged. Someone has written through the steam in big, red letters: I KNOW YOU, HAZEL. The faucets were still dripping. I wasn’t alone.
