Serissa “Wakey, wakey!” I groaned as I struggled to wake up. My eyelids felt heavy and my entire body ached. I tried to swallow, but my throat was drier than ever, and my tongue felt swollen. Someone slapped me lightly on the cheek and grumbled, “Come on, I don't have all day.” I lifted my pounding head and tried to focus. Alpha Felix's face swam into view and I let out another groan. I tried to move, but couldn't. My eyes went wide as panic settled into me. I couldn't move because I was attached to a chair with duct tape around my arms and legs.
